It’s a fact that we need carbohydrates (CHO) to survive. In order to use the fuel from the CHOs we eat, the body first converts them to glucose (sugar).
Simple CHOs, as flour, are easily converted into glucose. Consuming them sends a rush of glucose into your blood stream, creating a sugar high, that leaves your body just as fast.
You crash and are just as fatigued and hungry as you were before you ate.
So why not anchor from the nourishment you give your body?

In place of flour try consuming more fruits and vegetables...

My story began over three decades ago, when my mother introduced me to a Karate coach (cant remember his name right now) at the POS city corporation's youth camp.

What an inspiration he was for me. Encouraged me to be the best version of my self. An with that, I made it to a national tournament and winning. I can remember it like yesterday, that opponent, looked fierce, tall, muscular and angry. But when she stepped into the ring I man handled her... made my mother proud, but I couldn't continue in the sport, financial constraints.

Fast forward a decade I was introduced to working at a gym as a personal trainer, helping people realize the best version themselves. However, while there, I got the call to begin my journey in the public service, how exciting.

Albeit, I found a new love in map creation at the service, I kept working at the gym part time and realized, I do not want to be just a personal trainer I began my studies at UWI... Arts and Science of Coaching and from there I found the love for Nutrition and today...

I am a Certified/ Registered Nutritionist (MSc.)
Inspiring, encouraging, engaging and promoting citizens of our sweet T n T to be the best version of themselves...

While my health story don't speak specifically to an unhealthy Iola, who over came binge eating or a metabolic disease I suppose because I StayMoving... something I never compromised. I am always jumping, running, skipping, cycling some place... However, I can support you through your journey using sound science based research... mope no fad diets or magic pill! here!
