Beautiful Moodz by Night🌙

Lucky girl I am, to be able to be here every day ❤️

These last two weeks, we have been able to stay at Moodz, together with the kids and doggies. It is always magical to be here, spending more time outside, in nature and being able to enjoy the most precious family time at this beautiful space that we know by heart❤️

This year has been a busy year, a year in which we have tried to create the most magical venue for our hosts! It was a great season, we had such beautiful feedback and it makes it really worth it!

However in order to get here, we put in a lot of time, effort, energy and love! 7 days a week, every week. It is hard work🙏 Somedays we are on a roll and energy counts for 10, and then other days we just can't seem to find the energy we need so badly.

After spending hours at Moodz, cleaning, preparing for ceremonies or new retreats, massaging or making sure all guests are ok, we come home with 3 kids. A loving home but also one that sometimes feels like it has exploded on the inside. Clothes all over, dishes in the sink, chaos 🤣🙈 probably you also know this, too well.

It sometimes feels as being a failure as I haven't got everything balanced and everything organized. Balancing kids, a relationship, friendships, work and your inner peace, making sure all go well at the same time. I feel like it is a mission impossible, so not my strongest suit 🙈

But this is something that probably many of you recognise, I guess we all struggle to find the work-life balance.

So these upcoming weeks, my aim is to (at least try🤣) to be more calm, more present, being able to breathe and enjoy moments in a different way, for the kids, for my relationship, for my friendships and also for myself. Trying to find a little more balance ❤️

It was a beautiful year, with great moments, amazing people, friends, family and guests. Moments of excitement and moments that tears were shed, moments of laughter and love. ❤️

I couldn't have done it without my family, kids and all of you! A special, huge thank you to my sweetest hubbie and best friend Mitch & my sweetest BFF guapa Rins 💚, my cheerleader every single day 💚

These words were written on a sign next to a highway and it just caught me.

That is so true. So simple, but so true. You can't refuel without standing still...

Mitch and I are the worst in standing still, our minds are always running towards a new project to improve and expand our passion project Moodz Spa & Resort!

We bought the land in 2008 and ever since we have spend so many hours building our dream project! We started by building the villa for one year straight. I was 19 and Mitch was 22 and we would work 7 days a week from 6 am to 11pm at night. Long days, hard work but it was such a great time together❤️

In the following years we moved back and forward to the Netherlands and Portugal. Our hearts belong to both countries and I feel so honored that we get to spend time in both countries, with family and friends❤️

In 2020 we decided to move permanently back to Portugal and to go ALL IN! We sold everything we owned to start building this beautiful venue! We started by planting all palmtrees, yucca's, bananatrees and every little plant you see. There was literally just a mountain.

We worked 7 days a week for 2 years to build to resort. It was heavy, it was frustrating but it was also 100% fantastic and I wouldn't do it any different today!

After 2 years we opened our dream resort to our first guests and we have been open now for 3 years! 3 years filled with beautiful souls, amazing people who had an incredible time at this little piece of paradise! I can only say: we are So, So, So Grateful for these wonderful souls that inspire us to do better, to keep loving & our hearts and minds open to wonderful & inspiring souls!

Now 3 years later we are filled up with the most magical retreats! ❤️ I can't even begin to tell how awesome it is that people are enjoying their retreat at Moodz Spa & Resort!

Every stone was placed by us, a crazy couple that is just convinced that if you work hard, never quit believing, that you are capable of so much more then you would believe❤️

Just do it, sweet folks! I believe in you ❤️
Just remember, once in a while we've got to stand still to refuel, trust in the process ❤

🌴♥️ Best way to describe the magical Retreats at Moodz: connections are made & friendships grow♥️🌴

From the very first season of Moodz we have hosted the magical Retreats by our yoga guru and sweet Happiness Manager

Can't begin to describe how Nadine joins amazing souls from all over the world and unites them as a new family during her Retreats!

This week I got the invitation to join this beautiful retreat and this will be my first retreat! Wow! I can't wait for this experience, and get into the retreat bubble with bikram yoga, sound healings, posture clinics, breathwork & so much more!

I can't wait to experience this magic at Moodz as a guest! I can't even believe I will be a guest at my own retreat venue haha

Really looking forward to this amazing journey from the 23rd of June until the 29th of June, at our own Moodz Spa & Resort!
