Art therapy can help us see patterns before we try to change them.
Often people come into therapy wanting immediate solutions. But the mind and body repeat things for reasons that once made sense. If we rush to “fix” behaviour, we can miss what the pattern is actually communicating.
Through image-making, shape, colour, and repetition, patterns become visible. Not as something to judge or correct, but something to notice, reflect on, and understand.
Recognition creates space.
And space is often where real change begins.
Art therapy is not always about quick transformation. Sometimes it is about learning to recognise the patterns we live inside.
