Calcium in the diet:
The primary sources of calcium in the diet include milk and other dairy products, such as hard cheese, cottage cheese, or yogurt, as well as green vegetables, such as kale, broccoli, some nuts and seesds. Some cereals, soy products, and fruit juices are fortified with calcium.

Calcium doses above 500 mg are not absorbed as well as smaller doses, so large doses of supplements should be taken in divided doses (eg, in the morning and evening). To absorb calcium efficiently, an adequate amount of vitamin D must be present.

Calcium is depleted during breastfeeding, the good news is that it bounces back after weaning. A rich and balanced dietary intake during pregnancy and lactation will set you in the right path.🥰

Recall Alert:
Three Major Baby Formula Brands Are Contaminated With Salmonella
(Kelly Vaughan some days ago, msnNOW)

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has just announced that Abbott Nutrition has issued a voluntary recall of Similac, Alimentum, and EleCare powdered infant formulas due to complaints of Cronobacter sakazakii and Salmonella, which are two types of bacteria that tend to grow and thrive in dry food.

So how do you know if you have the affected product? The FDA has recommended that consumers don’t use Similac, Alimentum, or EleCare if the first two digits of the code are 22 through 37; and the code on the container contains K8, SH or Z2; and the expiration date is 4-1-2022 (APR 2022) or later.

Breastfeeding Linked to Lower CVD Risk in Later Life
( a summary from a Medscape article of 18/01/2022 by Marlene Busko)

In a meta-analysis of more than 1 million mothers, those who breastfed their children had an 11% to 17% lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD), coronary heart disease (CHD), or stroke, and of dying from CVD, in later life than mothers who did not. Longer breastfeeding was associated with greater CV health benefit.

Breastfeeding is known to be associated with a lower risk for death from infectious disease and with fewer respiratory infections in babies

The current study showed a clear association between breastfeeding and reduced risk for CVD in later life

Specifically, mothers who had breastfed their children at any time had an 11% lower risk for CVD, a 14% lower risk for CHD, a 12% lower risk for stroke, and a 17% lower risk of dying from CVD in later life, compared with other mothers

The benefits of breastfeeding to mother and child is inexhaustible. You are doing a great job.👍❤️

MOTHERHOOD
The role of becoming a mother is one of God's wonders. Here you are caring and nuturing another human, meeting it's needs with your spirit soul and body.
The time of birth is another wonderful experience. The job continues as you nurse your little one to maturity.

Yes - sleepless nights, exhaustion, pain, at times tears, putting the family first before yourself and many more sacrifices along the way as your changing roles in your baby's life unfold. The joy of motherhood grows and deepens with each developmental milestones and phase of life.
You are a Hero💪🏆🥇

Have a blessed and pleasant new year❤️😍⛱️

Breastfeeding by the world health organization definition is feeding the baby exclusively with mother's milk for the first 6 months. No water, formula, bottle or pacifier. Solid meals introduced at 6 months and breastfeeding for 2 years and beyond if mother and baby so desire.
It is a natural instincts to the baby, the mom will have to acquire the needed skills by watching others. There are times the feeding goes smoothly and other times you are left wondering what is going on. Every woman has a different breastfeeding story to tell. Feel free to ask for assistance or connect with a breastfeeding support group in your community if you are having breastfeeding challenges. Painful feeding time is an indication that you need assistance. Enduring it will damage your ni***es and reduce the baby's intake due to the shallow latch. This will eventually reduce your milk supply and slow down the baby's growth. Breastfeeding should be a pleasant and comfortable experience for both mother and baby. ,👍😘
