Information is the most essential weapon of survival, it empowers us with the knowledge that facilitates our ability to make informed decisions about our Lives.
Health happens to be the most essential aspect of our lives,
without health, we cannot dream, and even if we do, we are unlikely to realize them. We are only able to pursue our dreams, careers, and wealth, we could compete and beat all the deadlines because we have good health. So I think that health information ought to be the most essential information that we all need.
Most of us take the gift of our health for granted, we probably see it as our birthright, this is the only thing that explains why we are not as curious about our health as we are about chasing wealth or success, This also explains why, a lot of people after praying for good health, go right ahead to consume or do the very things that hurt their health.
The creator of humans was very kind, he not only created this fascinating interconnectedness called life but also provided us with constituent chemicals in the form of immunity that helps maintain health and fight diseases,
We must however understand that despite this, the functions of our immune system decrease as we age, our cells, tissues, and organs age and decline in function too And while we are younger, how we care for and maintain our health, and our organs, have consequences in aging, and such consequences do not consider whether you were ignorant of the right choices or not.
Many have lost their lives to avoidable diseases, A lot of others are suffering from one chronic disease or another, one organ dysfunction or the other because they have over the years either deliberately neglected their health or simply lacked the right knowledge to care for their health.
As a young person, your organs and immunity may be very healthy and active today, but if you fail to maintain them, you may be building a ticking time bomb that will blow as you age.
While we are young, we are preparing ourselves to either age ailing and miserable or age in health.
You cannot keep prioritizing other things, suffocating your organs and giving them extra work to do daily and think you stand a chance of good health in the long run as someone who made the sacrifices and had the self-control to maintain his/her health.
We have organs that have been at work for every millisecond of our lives, and the least we can do is to support them to give us a prolonged healthy life.
Health is not a destination, it is a journey, so being healthy today is no guarantee that you will be healthy tomorrow, it is mostly the decisions that we make today that will determine our experiences as we journey to old age.
We appreciate that there are genetic predispositions and autoimmunity that can put us at risk of diseases, but a lot of people have been able to reverse those through the lifestyle choices that they made.
I'm thrilled today to welcome you to our health awareness page, it is a page thought out of love and enthusiasm for service,
We intend to bring together, a community of intentional individuals who are ready to be committed to pursuing good health and improving their health and wellness through intentional lifestyle changes. And who will daily make informed and conscious decisions towards improving not only their lifespan but their health span.
We will be providing you with all the information that we have to inspire you through the journey, we will be addressing some of the health mistakes that you make and most of the bad or harmful health decisions that you have been making, we will also encourage your good habits, address some of the health myths, And expose you to the basic or layman pathogenesis of many diseases and what can be done to prevent them,
and for those who already have them, we will also highlight some of the lifestyle changes to make to manage them.
If you have decided to join us on this journey, I want you to know that it is not going to be a very easy journey, nothing good comes easy,
you are going to be giving up some of the things you enjoy, and maybe learning and doing new things you were probably not used to.
I however encourage you to stay committed and treat your health as kindly as it has been treating you all these years, you need to start gradually to heal all the damaging places,
And as you learn, please be generous to make yourself a model for others to learn health responsibility from.
We will hopefully be dropping health advice and tips once or twice every week,
while you enjoy all the fun on social media, please also do spend some of your time adding valuable information to your life.
