To be a Leader.. means to be there for the people that need you.. then, they will listen to you as a leader, just by example.

In this competitive world, we are often trained to have a "scarcity" mindset.

We hoard information.
We protect our status.
We worry that if we help a subordinate shine too brightly, they might outshine us.

If you get a bigger slice, I get a smaller one.

But as James Keller wrote, a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle. In fact, the room only gets brighter.

The greatest transition you will make in your career is moving from being the "achiever" (where you win) to being the "leader" (where you help others win).

When you mentor someone, when you give them credit, when you empower them to take the lead - you are not diminishing your own light. You are expanding your legacy.

It doesn't matter if people understand you or not, before any of this, it matters if you know your soul and how to articulate it truly. It doesn't matter that your past hurt made you this way, it is your choice if you continue to bleed or you continuously share the pain.

Even when you don't want it, people can feel it and you are seen, with the good and the bad, choose wisely & let life show you! 💕
