Inhale deeply and exhale fully. Using the power of our breath, we send signals to our brain which in turn sends signals back to the body's receptors. Inhale deeply, exhale fully, activate your psns: ⬇️⬇️⬇️
The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for the body's rest and digestion response when the body is relaxed, resting, or feeding. It basically undoes the work of sympathetic division after a stressful situation.
The parasympathetic nervous system decreases respiration and heart rate and increases digestion.
Link your body's movements to your breath and feel the shifts. Drop completely into the present moment by being aware of your body's sensations and posture and feel that connection through your breath.

CHECK THIS OUT! Practice YOGA for the mind, body and soul. 🥰🙏🧚‍♀️

1. FLEXIBILITY

Moving and stretching in new ways will help you become more flexible, bringing a greater range of motion to tight areas. Over time, you can expect to gain flexibility in your hamstrings, back, shoulders, and hips. As we age, our flexibility usually decreases, especially if you spend a lot of time sitting, which leads to pain and immobility. Yoga can help reverse this process.

2. STRENGTH

Holding these poses over the course of several breaths helps build muscular strength.

3. MUSCLE TONE AND DEFINITION

Yoga helps shape long, lean muscles in your legs, arms, back, and abdomen.

4. BALANCE

Poses where you stand on one leg and, for more advanced students, inversions, are great ways to build the core strength that keeps you upright.

5. JOINT HEALTH

The movements necessary for yoga are low impact, allowing you to use your joints without injuring them. Yoga also helps strengthen the muscles around the joints, lessening their load.

6. PREVENTS BACK PAIN

Increased flexibility and strength can help prevent the causes of some types of back pain. Many people who have back pain spend a lot of time sitting at a computer or driving a car, which causes tightness throughout the body and spinal compression.

7. BREATHING

Most of us take shallow breaths and don't give much thought to how we breathe. Yoga breathing exercises, called pranayama, focus our attention on breathing and teach us how to take deeper breaths, which benefits the entire body.

8. MENTAL CALMNESS

Yoga asana practice is intensely physical. Concentrating so intently on what your body is doing has the effect of bringing calmness to your mind. Yoga also introduces you to meditation techniques, such as how to focus on your breath and disengage from your thoughts. These skills can prove to be very valuable in intense situations off the mat, like childbirth, about of insomnia, or when having an anxiety attack.

9. STRESS

Because of the concentration required, your daily troubles, both large and small, seem to melt away during the time you are on the mat. This provides a much-needed break from your stressors, as well as helping to put your problems into perspective. The emphasis yoga places on being in the present moment can also help as you learn not to dwell on past events or anticipate the future. You will leave a yoga class feeling less stressed than when you started.

10. SELF CONFIDENCE

Doing yoga improves your mind-body connection, giving you a better awareness of your own body. During yoga, you learn to make small, subtle movements to improve your alignment, putting you in better touch with your physical being. You also learn to accept your body as it is without judgment. Over time, this leads to feeling more comfortable in your own body, boosting your self-confidence.

There is a powerful connection between the mind and the reality we see around. At the back of our brains, we hold a cluster of nerve cells called the RAS. It acts as a mental filter and controls everything that comes and stays in our field of awareness. ☀️So any thoughts or images are being filtered and stored inside the RAS. ☀️Take a moment and ask yourself what are your most common daily thoughts? Are they constantly negative or empowering and inspiring? In meditation and mindfulness we are not pushing our negative thoughts away. Instead, we embrace all of them, so we can LEARN THEIR MESSAGE. We observe them gently so they can be later transformed into powerful, strong energy.☀️ Whatever happens in our internal world, inside our mind and body, it is translated and created in our external world, in our environment. Choosing consciously and carefully what kind of thoughts we are feeding is a first step towards creating our reality. ☀️ Start and continue practicing kindness towards yourself and others. ☀️Look at everything that YOU are creating around with curiosity and an open mind awareness. ☀️ Be an explorer of your mind and body and dive deeper into the unknown parts of yourself. 💫💛🙏

M I N D F U L N E S S teaches us how to be present and live the beauty of the moment. M E D I T A T I O N allows us to become the observers of our lives. Through meditation we drop the roles that we have assumed, those ones that stick heavily on our bodies and stop us from getting a clear vision over our life and choices.

1. It increases your awareness and your level of presence
2. It improves your mood
3. It stimulates your parasympathetic nervous system
4. You become more conscious and awake of the choices you make

Change is unavoidable. Along with it, comes resistance. We resist to change and to step out of our comfort zone where we feel so safe and cozy. Sometimes we do have a choice, sometimes life happens and chnage is something we cannot avoid. External forces around us change how things work for us: we loose a loved one or we loose our jobs, we are constantly and indirectly pushed towards change. Now, if we resist it, we create stress, anxiety, depression, and, unaware of the spiral of thoughts and emotions that come along, we let these experiences to define our reality. But if we realize that everything just happens(and that's it), that there are no mistakes, but only lessons, that we have the power to choose how to act and respond to situations in a conscious manner, we find great freedom, relief, content, joy and happines. One step at a time. 💚

"Whether you believe you can or you can't, you're right." Henry Ford.

1. Your thoughts and beliefs create your reality.
2. Your attitude in everything you do, matters.
3. You are the creator, in charge of your life.
4. You can complain, feel sad and unworthy or you can change, adapt, evolve, grow.
5. What you believe in, that will happen.
6. What you see outside of you it's what you have inside.

A recent study in the Journal of Neurophysiology may support this, revealing that several brain regions linked to emotion, attention, and body awareness are activated when we pay attention to our breath.💚✨🌿

Different breathing patterns activate our brain networks related to mood, attention, and body awareness, a new study suggests.

Small decisions that you take daily have the power to change your entire life. 🥰⬇️

When life gets too serious, go back to your inner child, play and have fun. When you get too busy, take a moment and pause, you probably need it. When you feel pain or suffering, change your point of viewing things. When everyone tells you to go right, don’t go there but don’t go left eithe

▫️Is there a bright side to dark situations? Is there a message behind disorder and hard times in our lives?
▫️Sharing with you my thoughts on how DISORDER can be beneficial. ✨

Let’s face it! We love order and we wish everything in our lives to move smoothly, in a well organised, nice manner. We wish to be healthy, happy, have a functional relationship and a great financial situation. We suffer when things go wrong. We blame ourselves for what we have done or even worst,...
