People throw around the phrase “survival mode” a lot.

Most of the time it’s actually something very simple. The body got used to staying alert.
Not once in a while.
Not just after a bad day. More like the same reactions showing up again and again.

Your shoulders are tense most days.
A small comment can stay with you for hours.
Your system reacts fast before you even think about it.
Relaxing takes effort.

After a while it stops feeling like stress.
It just feels like you.
And so many people assume this is their personality.

Often it’s simply a nervous system that spent a long time adapting to tension or unpredictability.

When the same reactions repeat for years, the body keeps running the same program.
Nothing is wrong with you.
Is just that the body remembers the environments it had to adapt to.

Does this feel familiar?

“Evolved people don’t get angry”

I grew up around anger. The uncontrolled kind.
The kind that hurts people and leaves marks you spend years trying to understand.

So I understand why that idea sounds appealing.

For a long time I believed it too.

I thought healing meant becoming calm all the time. Never reactive.

Basically… some kind of monk.

It took me a while to realize something.

Growth didn’t delete my anger.
It just changed how I meet it.

Anger isn’t automatically a flaw in the system.

Sometimes it simply means something crossed a line.
Something felt unfair.
Or a part of you refuses to collapse again.

What changed is that it no longer takes over everything.

I can feel it in my body without immediately reacting.
I can slow down enough to notice what it’s about.

Sometimes it points to a boundary.
Sometimes it touches an old wound.

Anger and growth can exist in the same person.

Part of growing is learning how to feel anger without letting it run your life.

And honestly… a nervous system that never gets angry isn’t always enlightened.

Very often it just learned very early that anger was not allowed.

Your brain is constantly scanning the environment for danger.

Most of the time you’re not even aware of it.
It’s just running quietly in the background.

But when the nervous system has been under stress for a long time, that scanning can become a little too active.

The brain keeps looking for what might go wrong.
Even when nothing is actually happening.

Bilateral stimulation can help interrupt that pattern.

When the sound moves left to right, the brain naturally follows it.
Many people notice their body starting to settle after a few moments.

Nothing mystical. Just how the nervous system is wired.

Try it with headphones and notice what happens in your body.

I’m curious what you felt.

Have you ever been in this situation - on either side?

Sometimes when people say “calm down”, the body has no idea how to do that.

You’re tense.
Your breath is shallow.
Your system is still a bit on guard.

This kind of sigh is something the body already does on its own after stress.

Two inhales through the nose.
Then a long sigh out of the mouth.

That second little inhale helps reopen the lungs after shallow breathing, and the long exhale tells the nervous system it can start slowing down.

You might even notice your shoulders drop a bit after a few rounds.

Try it a few times and see what your system does.

The ones who were there in 1996 understand.
What era is your body still living in?

🗓 15 Martie • 18:00
📍 Sambodhi Studio, București
⏱ ~3 ore • 350 lei
🔢 Locuri limitate pentru a putea susține fiecare participant

Comentează respirație si îți trimit toate detaliile.
