This week was the official launching of NEXO Aligner in Santiago Chile. We gave a two day course to nearly 100 doctors and spoke mainly on diagnosis,occlusal concepts and treatment mechanics.

All key aspects in the use of NEXO Aligners. It’s not about what appliance you use, but rather how you use it. This was our message and it came through loud and clear and we even introduced new and innovative approaches to occlusion.

After the two day course, we organized a brunch with many of our friends and colleagues and focused on the NEXO concept. We had a great time saw many friends and made many new friends.

Most importantly, we met with our dear friend and mentor Dr.Jorge Ayala who will be the spokesman and leader of NEXO en México and South America. A real honor and privilege to have Jorge with us.

Esta semana fue el lanzamiento oficial de NEXO Aligner en Santiago de Chile. Ofrecimos un curso de dos días para casi 100 doctores y hablamos principalmente sobre diagnóstico, conceptos oclusales y mecánica del tratamiento, todos aspectos clave en el uso de los alineadores NEXO.

No se trata del aparato que utilizas, sino de cómo lo utilizas. Ese fue nuestro mensaje, y quedó muy claro. Incluso presentamos enfoques nuevos e innovadores sobre la oclusión.

Después del curso de dos días, organizamos un brunch con muchos de nuestros amigos y colegas, centrado en el concepto NEXO. Pasamos un gran momento: vimos a muchos amigos e hicimos muchos nuevos.

Lo más importante fue que nos reunimos con nuestro querido amigo y mentor, el Dr. Jorge Ayala, quien será el portavoz y líder de NEXO en México y Sudamérica. Es un verdadero honor y privilegio contar con Jorge con nosotros. 😊

Todo trabajo tiene su recompensa, tras más de tres años de entrega,dedicación y pasión, por fin sale nuestro libro nada más y nada menos de 535 páginas. El título, Functional and Cosmetic Excellence with Aligners lo dice todo, el objetivo ??? Promocionar la ortodoncia como una profesión médica y no cosmética y hacer hincapié en la importancia del proceso diagnóstico independientemente del tipo de aparatología.La primera impresión sale en inglés “por exigencias del guion” pero en un mes saldrá la edición en español.La estética a través de la función y no al revés. Sometimes the patient’s request is simply to improve their smile 🦷 But as specialists, we know that behind aesthetics there is always diagnosis.

If you want to take full advantage of the NEXO Aligner System capabilities, you need to take into consideration several aspects:
- Diagnose the case extensively: a VTO, for example, is extremely valuable to establish the direction of the treatment;
- Record the arc of closure, with 3 options: stable condylar position wax-bite recording, anatomic recording from full head CBCT, recording with a digital jaw tracking device (Modjaw, Zebris, etc.);
- Figure out the limitations of the case: biological limits, aesthetic limits, patient-imposed limits;
- Think of a treatment plan on all 3 dimensions: vertical, transversal, and sagittal, in this order;
-Complete the diagnostic and treatment plan forms from the case submission portal, for each case;
