🌿 Special lecture for the VedaPulse users at the online congress "Ayurveda Today 2026" 🌿
January 31 , 2026
8:00 – 9:00 (CET)
Topic:
"The 5 best analogues of Ayurvedic plants in Western herbal medicine from the Dravya Guna and modern pharmacology"
This lecture is especially valuable for those who:
🟢Lives in Europe or other regions where Ayurvedic herbs may be difficult to obtain
🟢Uses the Herbal encyclopedia module and is interested in a deep understanding of herbal medicine
🟢Ready to combine classical Ayurveda and modern scientific data
✅The lecture will present five Indo-Western pairs (e.g. Arjuna–Hawthorn, Brahmī–Lemon balm, Punarnavā–Nettle), each analysed through Dravyaguṇa, basic pharmacology and Ayurvedic reading of plant morphology (“signature” as expression of guṇa/bhūta, not as sympathetic magic). These cases illustrate how convergent informational patterns can appear in different floras, allowing clinical substitution in specific conditions while respecting the internal logic of Ayurveda.
➡️The talk aims to offer clinicians and researchers a practical, conceptually rigorous tool for integrating local Western herbs into Ayurvedic protocols without abandoning the Ayurvedic epistemology that gives those protocols meaning.
💬Antonio Morandi, one of the most respected European experts on Ayurveda, Doctor of Ayurvedic medicine, lecturer and practitioner with many years of clinical experience, will consider:
➡️principles of Dravya Guna (rasa, guna, virya, vipak, prabhava)
➡️Western medicinal plants to replace classical Ayurvedic herbs
➡️modern pharmacological research for the Ayurvedic approach
👍The lecture will be held as part of the online congress "Ayurveda Today 2026" - Follow the link for details and registration. https://vedatng.com/english/congress-ayurveda-today-2026
