Historically, the LGBTQ+ community has not been accepted by the religious community. This documentary, 1946, explains how the translation from Greek to English was incorrect and how this has changed the course of American history. There’s currently a film fest happening where you can pay just $10 to support this effort and watch the film online. Happy Friday Eve, friends! I ran across these statistics again and wanted to share them with you all. Between the years of 1946 and 1964, 76 MILLION babies were born in the US. Every single day from now through the year 2030, there will be 10,000 people turning 65. Let that sink in for a minute…10,000/day!!

Hey friends and family! I was given an amazing opportunity today to be interviewed by Bay News 9 about The Rainbow Oasis! Because it’s 🏳️‍🌈 PRIDE 🏳️‍🌈 month, they are featuring positive stories that are happening in the LGBTQ+ community. I can’t wait for the piece to air so that it brings attention and awareness to the great need for a facility like this to exist. Hopefully it will also bring funding so that this can become a reality ASAP! Stay tuned for updates about when it will air.

Gulfport Pride was a great success! We met so many amazing people, got some great resources and leads, and spread the word that the facility is coming soon! People were super excited to hear that this is coming because they have been wondering themselves what they will do when it comes time to need assistance. One lady said she really wanted to live there eventually because she couldn’t imagine living in a facility where once she dies, they bury her in a dress. A guy said that he knows many people that have had to go back into the closet when going to an ALF because they’re afraid to let other residents and staff see who they really are. This weekend proved that there is such a great need for this facility to exist. Hopefully our booth leads to finding funding and a building to open the doors ASAP! Thank you to every supporter out there! None of this would be possible without you ❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🎉
