Yellow Earth Naturals offers plant-based personal care items and homemade, nutrient-dense snack food In 2012, I made a New Year's resolution to go green.

When my son was born, we lived in South Korea, where we didn't have the luxury of universal healthcare. I explored the world of natural health, and found that prescriptions were not the only cure. Olive oil and tea tree oil cured our earaches; garlic soup wiped out our colds, and Rooibos tea calmed our upset stomachs. My household cleaners were replaced with vinegar, baking soda, washing soda and castile soap. That same year, we discovered my mom had breast cancer. I coped by educating myself about the pandemic of cancer. I learned there was a link between cancer (among other diseases) and poor diet and toxic personal care products. I wanted to know more, and share my knowledge. I began studying formally, and in September 2014, I will complete my training as a Nutritional Consultant. My mother's suffering inspired me to make my own safe, plant-based beauty products. Now I want to share them with you. I want everyone to know you don't have to sacrifice your health or your paycheck to be beautiful! Through my studies I have learned a great deal about the importance of proper nutrition. We can fully live each day when we are healthy and well-fed, but too many of us short-change ourselves by eating processed foods devoid of adequate nutrition. My snack foods are great for breakfast or between meals to help balance blood sugar, hunger and energy levels throughout the day. I hope you enjoy them.

You don't need exfoliating products with long lists if harmful ingredients. Straight baking soda works and even rooibos tea can do the trick. My ultimate favourite though, is Carob Exfoliator made from ground corn and chocolatey carob. Smells awesome AND keeps your skin smooth. Just $3!
