I usually don’t watch dramas, but if a show carries a strong life lesson, then I do give it a chance. Recently, I started watching “Pamaal.” Even though it hasn’t ended yet, the message it delivers is already incredibly powerful , especially for men and women in Asian societies.

In our culture, many men expect their wives to become fully dependent after marriage. And if a woman wants to grow, learn new skills, or maintain her independence, it somehow hurts the man’s ego.
On the other hand, no matter how independent a girl is before marriage, she is often pampered and handled in such a way afterward that she slowly becomes dependent , here i must say *spoiled* ,her role reduced to just household chores, caregiving, and nothing beyond that.

But the truth is simple: life never stays the same.
A husband and wife are the two wheels of life. If one wheel breaks , for example, if the husband faces a problem or is no longer around , the wife is left with zero skills, zero social exposure, and zero confidence, because she spent years inside a protective bubble. As a result, she and her children struggle deeply.

Similarly, men in our culture are raised to simply “give orders.” If one day the wife becomes ill or something happens to her, many men don’t even know basic daily tasks, and they too end up depending on others while their children become a burden on someone else.

This is exactly why we must start teaching our children these things from an early age.
So that after marriage, neither boys nor girls end up helpless.

✔️ Teach boys to encourage their wives to learn every essential skill. They should support their wives to become strong and independent — so that if they are not around, their family still stands strong without depending on others.

✔️ Teach girls that helping their husbands learn basic daily tasks is not something to feel bad about. These responsibilities belong to human beings , not to one specific gender.

Strong families are built when both partners are strong, independent, and capable of supporting each other.

pampered
dependent

skill
confidence
bubble

dependent
