Panel 3: Shift from Analogue to Digital 📋➡️🖥️

As we delved into this important shift, all participants remained actively engaged in discussing the transition from analogue to digital systems. There was a strong consensus on the need for more training for all staff and a deeper understanding of the digital systems to enhance service efficiency.

A number of challenges were identified that need to be addressed to ensure smoother implementation. Mr. Terry Valentin from DICT took note of the recommendations and initiated collaborations to improve the service delivery for everyone.

The collaboration between Clinical Laboratory and Optometry served as a great example of how digital integration can enhance the work of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs). 💙

Panel 2: Shift from Treatment to Prevention 🏥➡️🏡

There were many meaningful reflections and contributions shared today. While all sectors expressed a strong desire to do more in prevention, challenges remain, particularly around manpower and resource limitations.

Advocacy efforts must continue, and there is a growing need to integrate the social determinants of health into our policies to create real, sustainable change.

Education and empowerment also emerged as key pillars in strengthening prevention efforts, helping communities take charge of their own health and wellbeing. 💙

Panel 1: Shift from Hospital to Community 🏥➡🏡

Many interesting reflections and valuable contributions were shared today by our active audience. A clear theme emerged: the need for a more coordinated and collaborative approach to patient care.

It was highlighted that the discharge summary, both hard copy and digital, needs to be revisited to ensure it truly supports continuity of care.

Our Medical Officer also emphasized the importance of including all Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in the patient’s care journey. After all, we all share one common goal: the best outcomes for our patients.
