HPC Educational Meeting Insights (Praslin)
Shift 2: From Treatment to Prevention 💊➡️🚫

Our 'second shift' panel saw rich discussions, with presenters and panelists highlighting the preventive practices already happening in the Ministry of Health, even with limited manpower. Strong collaboration with other ministries is improving access to prompt district-level services.

As we shift toward prevention, challenges remain, especially patients’ willingness to seek services like Dental, Psychology, and Nutrition. Changing attitudes and improving compliance are key if patients are to safeguard their health.

Moving forward, continued collaboration, awareness of our service needs, and applying what we’ve learned will be essential for successful service delivery. 💬🤝

HPC Educational Meeting Insights (Praslin)
Shift 1: From Hospital to Community 🏥➡️🏘️

We had a very dynamic panel discussion on Praslin, and it was inspiring to hear about all the good practices happening here, especially around appointment management and smooth referrals between services.

Being a small community, they’re very aware of the unique challenges they face, particularly when it comes to infrastructure and ensuring confidentiality in the health care they provide. Their thoughtful recommendations really highlighted how important it is to adapt solutions to their specific context. 💬🤝

Behind every clear diagnosis is a radiographer's precision, expertise and compassion. 💙

Marking the anniversary of Wilhelm Roentgen's breakthrough discovery of x-ray radiation in 1895, this year’s theme, “Radiographers: Seeing the Unseen,” celebrates the vital role Radiographers play in uncovering what lies beneath the surface to deliver life-saving diagnostics and therapies daily.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate these skilled professionals who make the invisible visible! 🔍🫶🏽

HPC Educational Meeting Insights
Panel 3: Shift from Analogue to Digital 📋➡️🖥️

As we delved into this important shift, all participants remained actively engaged in discussing the transition from analogue to digital systems. There was a strong consensus on the need for more training for all staff and a deeper understanding of the digital systems to enhance service efficiency.

A number of challenges were identified that need to be addressed to ensure smoother implementation. Mr. Terry Valentin from DICT took note of the recommendations and initiated collaborations to improve the service delivery for everyone.

The collaboration between Clinical Laboratory and Optometry served as a great example of how digital integration can enhance the work of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs). 💙
