Dear SCORAngels all over the nation,

MedSIN-OMA and MedSIN-NAMSA SCORA hope you all are doing great, motivated and eager to expand your knowledge on more topics from the SCORA focus area.
This time a new topic shall be covered which is SEXUAL HARRASMENT.
Sexual harassment is unwelcomed sexual advances (ايحاءات جنسية), requests for sexual favors (طلبات لتحقيق رغبات ذات طبيعة جنسية), and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature (اعتداءات ذات طبيعة جنسية)
Harassment can be categorized into Verbal, non-verbal or Physical
forms of Sexual Harassments include:
Making sexual comments
Telling sexual jokes or stories
Looking a person up and down
Touching parts of the body without permission
Unfortunately both genders especially females experience harassment in public places (Schools, public transportation...etc) and sometimes their own safe house making them feel upset, scared, offended or humiliated.
This symposium will equip you with the knowledge about the forms of Sexual Harassment, the causes, the effects, how to respond to the harasser, how to protect yourself from harassment and many more points to be highlighted by the amazing facilitators.
We medical students should play the role of raising the awareness of our peers and community
