باختصار، هو "البحث في البحوث". بدلاً من جمع بيانات جديدة من المتطوعين (البحث الأولي)، نقوم بتحليل وتلخيص الدراسات التي نُشرت مسبقاً للإجابة على سؤال علمي جديد أو تقديم صورة كاملة لموضوع ما.
