ما هي مقاومة مضادات الميكروبات (AMR)؟
هي عملية تتطور فيها البكتيريا، الفيروسات، والفطريات بحيث تصبح غير متأثرة بالأدوية التي تستخدم لعلاجها، مما يحول الأمراض التي كانت قابلة للعلاج بسهولة إلى تحديات معقدة وخطيرة. هذه الظاهرة تمثل أزمة صحية عالمية، وتؤثر بشكل خاص على البلدان ذات الموارد المحدودة مثل بلادنا.

🦠 مقاومة مضادات الميكروبات (AMR): أزمة صحية عالمية لا يمكن تجاهلها 🦠
تخيلوا لو أصبحت العمليات الجراحية البسيطة، الالتهابات العادية، وحتى الولادة مهددة للحياة بسبب عدم فعالية العلاجات. مسببات الأمراض تصبح قادرة على مقاومة الأدوية، مما يعقد سبل علاجها. بالفعل، المقاومة لمضادات الميكروبات تتسبب في وفاة أكثر من 1.27 مليون شخص سنويًا، وإذا لم نتخذ خطوات سريعة، فقد يصل هذا العدد إلى 10 ملايين بحلول 2050.

ضمن مبادرة "Knocking Out AMR" التابعة لجمعية الأحياء الدقيقة بالمملكة المتحدة Microbiology Society ، ننظم ندوة وطنية بمناسبة أسبوع التوعية بمضادات الميكروبات، لنناقش تحديات AMR، نتعلم ونستكشف حلول عملية تتماشى مع احتياجاتنا في البلدان ذات الموارد المحدودة.

What is Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)?
AMR occurs when bacteria, viruses, and fungi evolve to withstand the medicines used to treat infections, turning easily treatable illnesses into complex, high-risk conditions. This phenomenon is a global health crisis that affects everyone, especially in resource-limited countries like Sudan.

🌍 سمعتو بمجال ال Bioinformatics او المعلوماتية الحيوية؟
يُعد من أبرز المجالات اللي حاجتنا ليها و الطلب عليها بيزيد يوم بعد يوم، مجال متعدد التخصصات يعمل على تطوير الأساليب والأدوات والبرمجيات لفهم البيانات البيولوجية.
يجمع بين علوم الحاسب الحديثة والبيانات الحيوية بجميع أنواعها مثل الحمض النووي، والبروتينات والإنزيمات، بحيث يتم التعامل مع المعلومات الحيوية والبيولوجية باستخدام أحدث تقنيات الحاسب وأكثر البرامج تطوراً للخروج منها بمعلومات مفيدة، واكتشافات جديدة.
و أفضل مثال لي تطبيقاتو مشروع الجينوم البشري Human Genome project
و هو مبادرة بحثية ضخمة اطلقت في عام 1990 و كان الهدف منها فهم الجينات الموجودة في ال DNA البشري، من حيث تحديد موقع و وظيفة كل جين بشري، و اللي عددها يقدر بحوالي 22,000 جين.
و كمان تحديد تسلسل القواعد الكيميائية اللي بتكوّن الDNA البشري، وعددها 3.3 مليار زوج من القواعد.
بالإضافة لي تخزين المعلومات دي في قواعد بيانات خاصة و تطوير أدوات لتحليلها.
كجزء من المساهمة في سد الفجوة المعرفية في المعلوماتية الحيوية و تعزيز المجتمع العلمي في السودان، وتشجيع المواهب المحلية على الازدهار والريادة في مجال علم الأحياء الدقيقة وال Bioinformatics مما يمكن العلماء من استخدام تقنيات و أساليب متقدمة لتحقيق اكتشافات بحثية هامة، ومعالجة التحديات العلمية على الصعيدين المحلي والعالمي:

ليه المجال دا مهم؟
لأنو بيلعب دور حاسم في فهم الجينات والبروتينات، ويفتح أبواب للتشخيص والعلاج المخصص في المجال الطبي، على سبيل المثال لا الحصر:

1. تحليل الجينوم والميتاغينوم (Genome and Metagenome Analysis):
- يستخدم لتحليل تسلسل الجينوم والميتاجينوم (المجموعة الكاملة للجينات في مجتمع معين) لفهم التنوع الجيني والتفاعلات بين الكائنات الحية والبيئة.
- يساعد في تحديد الجينات المرتبطة بالأمراض والتنبؤ بالمخاطر الصحية.

2. تصميم العقاقير (Drug Design):
- يستخدم في تحليل بيانات البروتينات والتنبؤ بالتركيب الثلاثي للبروتينات.
- يمكن استخدام المعلومات دي لتصميم عقاقير مستهدفة لعلاج الأمراض.

🌍 Have you heard of Bioinformatics? It's an essential and rapidly growing field that combines modern computer science with biological data, such as DNA, proteins, and enzymes. This interdisciplinary domain develops methods, tools, and software to understand biological data, enabling us to extract valuable insights and make new discoveries using advanced computational techniques.
A prime example of bioinformatics in action is the Human Genome Project. This large-scale research initiative, launched in 1990, aimed to map and understand all the genes in human DNA, which are estimated to be around 22,000. It also sought to determine the sequence of the 3.3 billion chemical base pairs that make up human DNA, store this information in specialized databases, and develop tools for its analysis.

To help bridge the knowledge gap in bioinformatics, strengthen the scientific community in Sudan, and encourage local talent to excel and lead in microbiology and bioinformatics, thereby enabling scientists to use advanced techniques for significant research discoveries and address scientific challenges both locally and globally, we are excited to announce the following:

عايزين محررين لي مجلتي علم الفيروسات و علم البكتيريا

⭕ بالنسبة لمجلة الفيرولوجي:

عشان تكون مؤهل للتقديم لازم تكون :
- Ph.D. or equivalent
- A senior investigator (e.g., associate or full professor,or equivalent; government research scientist or administrator in any employment sector).

- يجب أن يكون مجال اهتمامك الأساسي متعلقًا بعلم الفيروسات أو الدراسات متعددة التخصصات التي تشمل علم الفيروسات.

عندك خبرة في اي من الآتي:
- Hepatitis viruses.
- Retroviruses, ERVs, lentiviruses, HTLV.
- Flaviviruses and (re-)emerging arboviruses viruses.
- viral oncogenesis, particularly related to hepatitis and retrovirus infection.

- لازم تكون عضو في الجمعية، أو willing لإنك تبقى عضو.

الالتزامات:
