Sudanese Medical Research Association - SMRA is pleased to announce that our institution has been selected to participate in AFRICAN Science Frontiers Initiatives "ASFI" 5 - 10 Program for 2026.

The overarching goal of the ASFI 5–10 Program is to strengthen institutional capacity, foster excellence in research and mentorship, and promote continental collaboration. Through this program, ASFI will support selected institutions in equipping emerging scholars nominated to the program with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to generate impactful research and scientific publications, and secure competitive grants throughout 2026, thereby driving Africa’s long-term socio-economic transformation.
The duration of the program is 1 year, it will be conducted virtually, containing several interactive workshops, courses and training sessions worthy hundreds of Dollars, all will be free of charges.

SMRA will nominate 5 candidates whom are, i) PHD or Equivalent degree holders (MD degree or other), ii) Must be not more than 3 years since obtaining the degree. iii) 3 of the 5 participants should be females.
iv) The age limit for Males is 40 years and for Females 45 years.

مناقشه المواضيع العلميه وتشجيع اتباع الخطه العلاجيه للامراض بناء على آخر البروتوكولات والguiedlines.

عمل clinical audit /proposal meeting /systemic Review and meta-analysis.
من ضمن انشطه المكتب:
🔵 Proposal meeting تحت اشراف احد اعضاء اللجنة العلمية لكل بحث ساهمت به الجمعية لكي تعم الفائدة لكل طلاب واعضاء الجمعية.

🔵 Journal club :
عبارة عن لجنة مكونة من افراد متتخصيصين في تقييم الاوراق العلمية ، تقوم اللجنة بمراجعة مشكلة معينة موجودة في النظام الصحي السوداني ومن ثم تقوم بمراجعة الاوراق العلمية المنشورة عالميا لكي تجد حل للمشكلة ومن ثم يتم عرض هذه الاوراق للتدقيق الشامل لكي يتم ضمان امكانية تنفيذها. ومن ثم إستنتاج توصيات بخصوص هذه المشكلة.

المجلس الاستشاري المنتخب بواسطة الجمعية العمومية للدورة التنفيذية 2025- 2026م

مهام المجلس الاستشاري الدستورية :

- يتكون المجلس الاستشاري من خمسة اعضاء من عضوية المجلس التنفيذي من اي من الدورات التنفيذية السابقة للجمعية مِن مَن كان لهم دور في نجاح الجمعية على ان يكونوا على دراية تامة بلوائح الجمعية.
- يتم انتخابهم عن طريق الجمعية العمومية، ويكون عددهم خمسة .
- يستمر عملهم لدورة تنفيذية كاملة.
- يحق لأعضاء المجلس الاستشاري حضور كافة اجتماعات الجمعية الدورية و الطارئة.
- يقوم المجلس باختيار المكتب التنفيذي للجمعية عن طريقة المعاينة.

The Advisory Council for the 2025 - 2026 Executive Term

Constitutional Duties of the Advisory Council:

- It consists of five members from previous executive terms of the Association who have contributed to its success and possess a thorough understanding of the Association's regulations.
- They are elected by the General Assembly, and their number shall be five members.
- Their term lasts for one full executive cycle.
- Members of the Advisory Council have the right to attend all periodic and emergency meetings of the Association.
- The Council selects the Executive Office of the Association through direct assessment.

🔴 Members of the Advisory Council whom were elected by the General Assembly for the executive term 2025 - 2026:
1⃣ Dr. Mosab Adam - Executive President of the first term and member of the previous term's Advisory Council.

The Sudanese Medical Research Association aims to promote and support scientific research in the medical field in Sudan and provide a platform for researchers to communicate and exchange knowledge.

The Elections Committee would like to announce to everyone that the electronic membership cards have been sent to applicants whose applications were completed and accepted, via the email registered during application.

Therefore, we request all applicants to do the following:

1. Check the inbox of the personal email address that was used to submit the membership application.
2. Carefully check the "Junk" or "Spam" folder, as the email may have been automatically filtered into it.

Regarding incomplete applications:

Please note that membership applications that did not meet all requirements or were incomplete have not been registered yet. An announcement will be made later regarding the reopening of registration to allow for data completion or re-application.
