24 December 1900 ✨

Today we honour Mrs Hawayo Takata, born on this day in 1900, whose life and dedication played a pivotal role in bringing Usui Reiki from Japan to the West.

Mrs Takata devoted her life to sharing Reiki with integrity, simplicity, and deep respect for its roots and remembering the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage. Through her teachings, Reiki became accessible to the West, and her lineage continues to support practitioners and communities worldwide.
We offer our heartfelt gratitude — both as a reminder of where Reiki has travelled from, and in thanks for the gentle, powerful practice that continues to guide, support, and connect us today. 🌿

🐎✨ Wisdom from the Herd – Continuing the Journey ✨🐎

If you enjoyed our recent article about the Horses in the Autumn issue of Touch Magazine (Wisdom from the Herd), we are delighted to share that Dr. Pete Jeffs will be opening the 16th Healing Circle between Circles next week on the 23rd December, following the Winter Solstice ❄️🌑

💫 This Distant Reiki Circle is offered for both humans and our more-than-human animal companions –
🐴 horses, 🐱 cats, 🐶 dogs, 🐰 rabbits, 🦊 foxes and many others too.

🌕 The Circle, which has been running for five years now, is held three times each week –
🕔 17h GMT on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays

📅 It runs from Tuesday 23rd December to Tuesday 27th January 2026,
✨ leading up to Imbolc on the 1st February ✨

💷 Places are £25, for animals and humans, for the entire cycle of 16 sessions.

🌺 Remembrance Day Reflection 🌺

Today, we pause together in quiet remembrance, honouring all who have felt the pain and cost of conflict, in every time and every place.

As we remember those who came before us, our hearts are also with those living through hardship and unrest across the world today. Many within our Reiki community are personally affected, and we send our deepest compassion and healing energy to all who are suffering and facing challenge.

Reiki teaches us that peace begins within. When we find stillness and kindness in our own hearts, we become a source of calm and light that reaches far beyond ourselves, a warmth that gently overflows into our families, communities, and the wider world.

🕊️ May Reiki flow where it is needed most, to every person, every community, every nation.
May peace be found in every heart.
Lest we forget.
