Prophysics SOL has been on the road again!

We spent four productive days at OYS - Oulun yliopistollinen sairaala (Oulo University Hospital), where we installed a complete 3D optical Vicon system combined with AMTI force platforms and a fully integrated Theia markerless setup. We also upgraded their existing pressure analysis solution with a brand new 3‑meter Zebris system.

This comprehensive setup will support both clinical work in physical medicine, neurology, and orthopedics, as well as ongoing research. We’re confident that the skilled and experienced team at OYS will make excellent use of the new equipment!

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of installing a Cometa WaveX EMG system at Haapsalu Neuroloogiline Rehabilitatsioonikeskus (Haapsalu Neurological Rehabilitation Centre). Their clinical gait analysis lab is already equipped with a Vicon motion capture system and AMTI force plates, so our visit also included servicing and optimizing the existing equipment, as well as providing training for the gait lab team.

It was great to catch up and to see Haapsalu again. Thank you Kadri Englas and Killu Mägi for the nice visit!

Exciting news!
prophysics SOL has successfully installed a Vicon Motion Capture system at Kiruna Space Campus, Luleå University of Technology (LTU).

This cutting-edge setup will support the Department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering in the FedLabs project, a collaboration with Cranfield University (UK) and Sapienza Università di Roma (IT). FedLabs is part of NATO’s “Science for Peace and Security” initiative, building a network of Federated Laboratories to advance research in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) algorithms—especially for micro- and nano-satellites.

The Vicon system in Kiruna will initially be used to track rigid objects for satellite simulations, paving the way for innovative space technology testing.

A big thank you to Olle Persson and Luleå University of Technology for trusting us with another Vicon installation, and a special shout-out to Alex Shufflebotham for the fantastic collaboration during the setup!

We've just left Oslo after installing three new force plates from Advanced Mechanical Technology, Inc. (AMTI) in the Biomechanics Laboratory at Norges idrettshøgskole (NIH).

We've just finished the annual meeting of the Mocap Alliance in beautiful Genova in Italy.

The Mocap Alliance is a collaboration between distributors of Vicon Motion Capture systems and other related products in the motion capture field. The Mocap Alliance consists of Prophysics SOL (the Nordics), Prophysics (Switzerland, Austria, Germany), ProCare (BeNeLux) and GPEM (Italy).

We’ve had two days of sharing thoughts and experiences, and planning future collaborations. Had a great time with some terrific colleagues in the motion capture field!

Thank you Gabrielle Paolini and rest of the GPEM team for hosting the event and see you next year in Zürich!
