Cellaviva is a part of NextCell Pharma, which performs a clinical trial with stem cells from umbilical cord tissue to treat type 1 diabetes.

Time for cutting the umbilical cord is determined by the parents, Cellaviva has no opinion.
When the umbilical cord is cut, it and the placenta are no longer connected to the child and lacks function. It is always possible to save stem cells from the umbilical cord, and usually there is blood left even after late delayed clamping. No matter how long you wait we can save some of the cord tissue.

Last year on UnderBara Baby I was pregnant with my second daughter. This year I'm back from maternity leave and ready to meet potential customers on the fair this Saturday and Sunday.

Duke University Medical Center has received permission from the FDA to offer cord blood therapy for conditions like autism spectrum disorder and cerebral palsy under an expanded access clinical trial.

Children who have these neurological disorders to receive therapy with their own cord blood or cord blood from a sibling, regardless of whether they qualify for a targeted clinical trial.
