Perimed

Perimed Medical instruments to help clinicians treat diseases like diabetes, and PAD, and assess wounds Knowledge gained is continually invested in development.

Perimed AB, established in 1981 and headquartered just outside Stockholm, is the world leader in developing and manufacturing state-of-the-art equipment for microvascular diagnosis. PeriFlux System 6000, for example, is an excellent choice to support treatment decisions related to Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) or for assessing wound healing potential in diabetic ulcers. Our blood perfusion imager, PeriCam PSI System, allows you to investigate spatial distribution during, for example, cortical spreading depression or to assess burn wounds. Our instruments leverage laser Doppler, laser speckle, and transcutaneous oxygen pressure (TcpO2). These technologies provide real-time measurements for blood perfusion and tissue oxygen, supporting toe pressure, ankle-brachial-index (ABI), skin perfusion pressure (SPP), pulse volume recordings (PVR), and segmental pressures. With customers in over 80 countries, Perimed actively participates in a range of research projects together with leading universities to deepen our understanding of diseases related to blood perfusion and microvascular functions.

Running Windows in a regulated industry like healthcare or finance? 🏥💳

Unsupported software is one of the most common entry points for cyberattacks. That’s why many organizations have already upgraded to Windows 11, are in the process of migrating, or have purchased extended support from Microsoft.

But it’s not just about operating systems. Every application in your stack — including the software that comes with medical devices — needs ongoing updates and patching to stay secure.

At Perimed, we’ve verified that our supported software works with Windows 11 ✅ — helping you to protect patient data and ensure system security.

Running unsupported software exposes your hospital and patients to cyberattacks, WannaCry, which brought the UK's NHS to a standstill, exploited a known vulnerability, which most large organizations simply didn't have the time to patch before the attack occurred.

In oncoplastic reconstructive surgery, nearly 30% of implant procedures result in a complication — many due to poor tissue perfusion. Finding practical solutions isn’t easy, but clinical evidence is emerging.

👨‍⚕️ Dr. Ralser and his team at University Hospital Bonn, Germany, tested laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) with our PeriCam PSI in 73 reconstructions. Their findings suggest surgeons can use LSCI for rapid, real-time perfusion insights — helping to reduce complication rates.

Nearly 30% of all breast implant procedures result in a complication. Dr. Damian Ralser has conducted an observational study using LSCI to determine the potential of this technology to reduce complication rates.
