Yesterday 32 students graduated the 3 year long Somatic Experiencing Training in Stockholm with amazing teacher Efu Nyaki 🐯 and I’m happy and so proud of all of them 🥳 I’m also grateful for all the learnings and my own growth thanks to their trust in me as one of their assistants ♥️

Så tacksam att jag i mitt arbete får möta så många olika fantastiska människor som är nyfikna på sig själva och vill växa och utvecklas ❤️

Excited to share this opportunity to listen to Monique Pfalz - for free - sharing her ongoing research using Somatic Experiencing as a tool 🤩

GRATIS SEMINARIUM ONLINE 3 NOVEMBER 18:00 - 19:30: om forskning inom SE -- ges på engelska

On November 3rd between 6 and 7:30 pm, Monique Pfaltz will give an overview of ongoing and planned research on Somatic Experiencing (SE) at Mid Sweden University, conducted in close collaboration with SE trainers and teachers from Sweden, Norway, and Switzerland. She will first share results from an initial project that investigated the immediate effects of a single SE session on perceived safety as well as on physiological measures such as heart rate and heart rate variability. The study also explored how these effects might differ depending on participants’ histories of childhood abuse and neglect.

In the second part, she will introduce a randomized controlled trial currently underway, which examines the impact of a 15-session SE intervention in individuals with developmental trauma who are experiencing symptoms of (complex) posttraumatic stress. The presentation will conclude with reflections on challenges encountered, lessons learned so far, and directions for future research.

There will also be space for questions and answers after the seminar. Link to the seminar will be published close to the date.
