In a newly published study, HAnano Surface modified implants outperformed machined and double acid etched titanium implants.
"The study showed the benefits of nano-hydroxyapatite modified implants in promoting new bone formation in diabetic animals, when compared to machined and double acid etched surfaces. Diabetic subjects have compromised bone repair ability, which may negatively impact osseointegration around implants," said Dr. Sergio Scombatti de Souza.
The study was done in collaboration with S.I.N. Implant System, University of São Paulo. https://lnkd.in/dvQNaBA
