A common hypnnoterapeutisk treatment is done by the client and the therapist has a therapeutic conversation, the client and hypnotized into a trance state receives positive suggestions. The client can be led to experience early trauma, which is the basis for the treatment of such. various phobias, by weight management and smoking cessation. Therefore it is important that the therapist, in addition to being able to hypnotize, also has a thorough training in trauma management, etc..

Hypnotherapy or hypnosis therapy has a wide scope from total anesthesia, smertebehandlig, smoking cessation, weight reduction for the treatment of phobias, anxiety, etc.

En almindelig hypnnoterapeutisk behandling foregår ved at klienten og terapeuten har en terapeutisk samtale, hvorefter klienten hypnotiseres og i trancetilstanden modtager positive suggestioner. Klienten kan ledes til at opleve tidlige traumer, hvilket er udgangspunkt for behandling af f.eks. forskellige fobier, ved vægtregulering og rygestop. Derfor er det vigtigt at terapeuten, foruden at kunne hypnotisere, også har en grundig uddannelse i traumehåndtering mv.

Hypnoterapi eller hypnoseterapi har et bredt anvendelsesområde fra total anæstesi, smertebehandlig, rygestop, vægtreduktion til behandling af fobier, angst o.l.

I princippet kan alle mennesker opnå trance og modtage suggestioner. Forskellige indre grundlæggende begrænsninger hos den enkelte, efterlader det indtryk at ca. 1/3 er umiddelbart modtagelige, 1/3 relativt modtagelige og den sidste 1/3 svært modtagelige.
