We at Wells Trädvård are looking for 3-4 arborists to join us in Stockholm for short and long term,
full time employment. Wells Trädvård undertakes varied and interesting tree work in Stockholm, but also over a large part of Sweden.
If you are an arborist who is looking for new challenges or new opportunities and has a minimum of 2 years of climbing and industry experience, holds a ETW or equal qualification and has a driving license then contact us at Wells Trädvård.
For anyone living outside the EU, then help with work permit applications will be given.

The registration for judges, volunteers and exhibitors to partake at the Swedish tree climbing championship is open. The Swedish tree climbing championship will be held at Ekolsunds castle 19-21 maj 2023.

This Fraxinus excelsior unfortunately died finally last year. It was in serious decline from the last time we worked on it in February 2020.

Due to the fungus Hymenoscyphus fraxineus European ash tree populations are being devastated. The spread of the invasive fungus has also had a huge effect on the biodiversity of species that are dependent on the ash tree.
In Sweden there are 483 ash associated species. 53 species (11%) are exclusive only to the ash tree and another 111 species (23%) mainly prefer ash trees. It should also be noted that many ash associated species are attracted to elm trees. This unfortunate situation has lead to a real danger of certain associated species becoming regionally extinct (Hultberg, 2020).

We might not see much activity surrounding this now dysfunctional ash tree, but the importance of keeping such magnificent standing natural monuments is extremely crucial to the smaller parts of nature that we tend to easily over look!
