This is one of my long time clients Pontus that comes in for his yearly dreadlock maintenance.

He is a person that has been comming to me for so many years that I think we have stopped counting the years 😂

He is the person that washes his dreadlocks on a regular basis and then he does not do anything with them at all, not even seperate the dreadlocks at the root, it is something that I do recommend for all clients to do after washing their hair so that the dreadlocks do not grow together into a big knot.

On this day I waved my magic wand (hook and comb) and within 2 hours Pontus leaves with fresh roots on his dreadlocks again!

A lot of my clients say to me that the work that I do and that my students do really stand out, the dreadlock extensions really look so natural.

The thing is when I’m doing a head of dreadlocks with extensions I’m very picky with the color of the hair that I use for the extensions. Sometimes I even use up to 6 different colors in one hair so why do I do this?

If you look at someone’s hair you will see that all over the head you have different shades, parts might be bleached by the sun etc. If you do not get all of the different shades into the hair then somehow the color will look flat.

Another thing is that I hand make all the dreadlocks this means that all of them will be a bit different from each other and that also
creates a natural flow into the hair.

Yes it takes time but it is so worth it ❤️

Before I even take on a client I want to do a video call just so that I know who you are and what your dream hair is!

I hand pick out hair extension hair that matches your hair color and I also blend different colors together o that I get some different shades and that creates debth in the color and makes the dreadlocks look more alive.

One by one the dreadlocks are being created, for me it is like going into a trans state. The other day one of my friends asked me so how is it for the client then, my best explained is that my state of energy while I’m working will affect my client. It is like they are also pulled into this state of energy.

The most common question my clients say is how did the day go by so fast?

What happen to the time?

And once we are finished a new version of my client leaves with a new type of energy and confidence to tackle the world with.

Our hair model thought that her dreadlocks were beyond saving……
It was interesting because during our small chat before we started working on Veronica’s hair she asked several times is it possible to do anything with my hair?
I explained to her that I can perform magic to anyone’s hair as long there is something to attach it to and as long as you do not have mold in your hair.

My student Paulina got to learn both how to do dreadlock maintenance and how to create new dreadlock extensions for our hair model.

It is interesting already by the first new dreadlock we created for Veronica she was in awe of that might be possible for her.

When the transformation was finished both Veronica and Paulina was stunned with what we had created during our day together.

This is why your dream hair isn’t just a dream
I get it taking the leap to get dreadlocks is a huge on, the people that you have told have said so many strange things about it.

The thing is the info the generell public have about dreadlocks is not right. There is so much misinformation out there and it makes me so sad because it is stopping so many people to get the hair that they always dreamed of.

What if the first dreadlock extensions that you ever do looks close to this?

This is the fist set of dreadlocks that my student Zarag ever did, it was lovley to guide her through the day and also be able to craft a Lovley head of hair for our client.

Every time I have a student coming to work together with me I adapt the training that I do so that it works for my student.

The fact is that every learns in a different way and every person has a unique way of taking in information. For me it is important that each and every student that I have will get the most out of the time that we have together that they have really gotten the technique into their muzzle memory and that they have the confidence to go home and start to practice this craft at home.

I teach the art of creating, maintaining and extending locs because I want others to be able to help the world to become more beautiful and also be able to create these Lovley transformations for people that is really a transformation from the inside and out.

One of my favorite ways of styling dreadlocks is to make fun updos of them, I love the playfulness with it and also the creativity that goes into a updo like this!

When I have done updos like this for myself what I love about it is that it lasts for several days and I do not need to do anything with it.

So strange that I can stand +12 hours with clients but I hate doing things with my own hair with longer periods of time. (Yes I’m lazy with my own hair 😂)
