Have you got balance in your life? Rest and Action. Being and Doing. Yin and Yang...or are you "burning the candles at both ends"? Can you slow down a little? Give some time for yourelf. Reload the batteries. Self maintenance. Treat yourself with kindness? Now!? Today!?..or will your body force you to do it?
Balance and harmony to you 🙏
We have an overwhelming excess of Yang in the world, with people burning the candle at both ends, rushing around, over stimulating their nervous system with countless coffees and energy drinks, eating on the go, consuming endless mindless content, and pushing themselves to breaking point on a daily basis.
It’s no wonder so many people burn out and end up ill. That illnesses could come in the form of a massive detoxification & reset (what the western world calls The Flu,) or in the form of a chronic illness or advanced disease, such as crohns, arthritis, endometriosis or cancer etc.
If you keep on taking your body and mind into the red, you are eventually going to have to pay that debt back, such are the laws of Mother Nature.
With the sun comes the moon, with fire comes water, with heat comes cold. Put simply, with every masculine element, there is a feminine counterpart.
The universe wants balance and is always looking for a way to restore balance where it has disappeared. If it can’t do that with a gentle warning, then it will do it with a bang.
Your body may already be giving you clues that you need more Yin in your life, and that you need to slow down. For example if …
- you are constantly getting ill,
- you are exhausted but struggle to sleep,
- you can’t digest foods properly,
- you have chronic inflammation,
- you have painful periods or heavy &/or irregular bleeds (women),
- you have alopecia,
- you have a fungal or parasite infection
- you’re storing excess body fat even though you’re working out hard etc.
(There are more signs, but I think you get the point.)
Therefore, if you have been pushing yourself hard and you have not been getting enough rest, hydration, introspection, time for yourself, time to do things you enjoy & relaxation, then now would be the perfect time to do so.
If you don’t, then be prepared for the time when your body says ‘enough is enough’ and you fall ill … however, that may not come at a time that’s most convenient to you.
