Pigeon Pose — Opening what you’ve been holding

Pigeon is not just a hip opener.
It’s an emotion opener.

When you come into the pose…
you don’t just feel the stretch in your hips.
You feel the places you’ve been holding onto.

Tension.
Stress.
Maybe even things you never said out loud.

The deeper you go…
the more your body starts to speak.

And sometimes, it’s uncomfortable.
Not because the pose is hard—
but because letting go is.

This is where self-awareness becomes real.

Can you stay… without running away?
Can you breathe… instead of resisting?
Can you soften… instead of controlling?

Pigeon teaches you
that opening the body
is also opening the heart.

And healing doesn’t come from forcing.
It comes from allowing.

Self-awareness in Headstand

Headstand is not about going upside down.
It’s about going inside.

When you are in the pose…
you can’t lie to your body.

If your shoulders are not stable — you feel it.
If your core is not engaged — you fall.
If your mind is distracted — you lose balance.

This is where self-awareness begins.

Not forcing.
Not rushing.
Just noticing…

Where am I?
What is my body doing?
Am I holding… or am I truly connecting?

Headstand teaches you
how to listen instead of control.

And maybe…
that’s the real practice.

Identity is your most natural state.
You don’t need to try to become it.
You don’t need to prove anything to anyone.
👉 When you are in your identity, you feel:
• Calm
• Clear
• Effortless
→ Example:
When Kathy teach yoga, Pilates and everything flows naturally,
Kathy not trying to be “good” —
Kathy simply being myself.
Identity is not something you build from zero.
It existed before you were shaped by:
• Society
• Family
• Trauma
• Expectations
→ You already had a core version of yourself. Your true identity does not come from:
• “I have to be this person”
• “I should be like that”
• “I need to please others”. 👉 Real Identity:
• Does not come from “should”
• Does not come from “fear”
• Does not come from “approval”.
🌿 True Identity
• Quiet
• Stable
• Not dependent on others

What is memory? • Stored in the amygdala + subconscious mind
• Linked to feelings, past experiences, identity
• This shapes:
• How you react
• What you believe
• How you see yourself

👉 Example:
• Fear from a past relationship
• Confidence from repeated success
• Feeling “I’m not good enough” (stored pattern) Memory is not just something you remember—
it is something that shapes how you think, move, and feel.
Memory is NOT the past.
👉 It is:
“A stored version of the past that your body and mind keep replaying.”

That means:
• You don’t move based on reality
• You move based on stored patterns (memory)
