19โ€“22 October 2025 โ€“ ANZSOM Annual Scientific Meeting, Melbourne, Australia

It was a great honour to represent the Singapore Society of Occupational Health Nurses (SSOHN) at the ANZSOM Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) held in Melbourne from 19 to 22 October 2025.

An enriching experience filled with valuable learning and knowledge exchange with our Australian and New Zealand counterparts, as we work together to advance Occupational Health Nursing as a recognised profession internationally. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’™

Iโ€™m especially grateful for the warm hospitality extended by the ANZSOM team and for the meaningful discussions on future collaboration and cross-learning opportunities.

Looking forward to welcoming our ANZSOM colleagues to Singapore soon for continued partnership and shared growth!

1975โ€“2025 | Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Singapore Society of Occupational Health Nurses

This year, we proudly mark the 50th Anniversary of the Singapore Society of Occupational Health Nurses (SSOHN). A momentous occasion honouring five decades of leadership, advocacy, and service in safeguarding the health of our nationโ€™s workforce.

From managing safety and health related to infectious disease outbreaks like SARS and COVID-19, to spearheading pre-employment medical, health screening, vaccination drives, contact tracing, chronic disease management, statutory medical surveillance, return-to-work programs and workplace first responders for mental health related condition, Occupational Health Nurses (OHNs) have stood as a quiet yet powerful force bridging public health and workplace safety.

๐ŸŒŸ We were deeply honoured to have the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer Ms Christina Tan, grace our Golden Jubilee celebrations on behalf of CNO affirming the national recognition of OHNsโ€™ contributions to healthcare and workplace health. Her presence symbolises growing support for the profession and our shared commitment to a healthier, safer workforce lead by Occupational Health Nurses in Singapore.

๐Ÿ’ฌ This celebration is not just about looking backโ€”itโ€™s about looking forward. We celebrate our legacy and reaffirm our purpose to lead with care, elevate OHN voices, and build a future-ready workforce.

๐Ÿ™ Thank you to our founding pioneers, past presidents, partners, and members who built this legacy. Together, we will continue to champion workforce health and safety prevention, protection, and policy impact for generations to come.
