Fire response on vehicles

- be alert to presence of abnormal heat/smoke, early detection is crucial
- always know where are the fire fighting equipment and first aid on the bus and keep it unobstructed
- alert the driver and come to a complete stop
- immediately ask driver to open the doors
- if door cannot be opened, attempt to break the windows using the emergency hammer
- try not to use the roof opening, fire may burn faster
- do not shake the doors as this may cause door to stuck further
- do not panic and get help each other evacuate the bus through windows
- bus may burn down in just a few mins, inform the fire department ASAP or if you happen to see such incident on the road, help to call the fire department.
- when clothes is on fire, do not run around, instead roll on the floor, someone can use fire extinguisher to fight the fire
