Hello! Thought I’d share something today 😊

People often ask me, “Why do you work with special needs kiddos?”

Working with neurodivergent learners is one of the most meaningful parts of what I do. 🧠✨

They remind me every day that there isn’t just one “right” way to think, learn, or see the world. Their creativity, honesty, curiosity, and unique perspectives constantly challenge me to grow as an educator and as a person.

Supporting them isn’t about changing who they are, it’s about creating spaces where they can thrive exactly as they are. And being trusted to walk alongside them in that journey is something I never take for granted. ❤️

Autism vs ADHD — What’s the Difference?

They can look similar, but they’re actually very different brains.

🧠 Autism
• Different way of understanding the world
• Struggles with social cues & sensory overload
• Loves routine & predictability
• Can focus deeply on special interests
• Meltdowns = overload

⚡ ADHD
• Different way of regulating attention & impulses
• Knows social rules but struggles to pause
• Needs novelty & stimulation
• Focus is inconsistent
• Outbursts = impulse dysregulation

Simple truth:
Autism = perception differences
ADHD = regulation differences

💡 And yes — many people have both.

Different brains. Different needs. Same worth. ❤️

In a world quick to label behaviors as “right” or “wrong,” neurodivergent experiences are often misunderstood.

💥 A meltdown isn’t misbehavior.
🌊 It’s emotional overflow in a world that often feels too loud, too fast, too much.

🌱 The “pure innocence” of neurodivergent people—their honesty, sensitivity, stimming, and intensity—is not brokenness.
✨ It’s authenticity in motion.
