Celebrating the heart behind every act of care 💛

We are so proud of our caregivers who have been commended at the Rotary Club of Singapore West - Singapore Teochew Foundation Family Caregiver Awards. Our Medical Social Work team was honoured to receive the awards on their behalf and share their stories during the event.

Your compassion and resilience make a difference every single day to your loved ones.

Caregiving is never a small task - it often means balancing many responsibilities with quiet strength and dedication. Today, and every day, we thank all caregivers for the care and love you give so selflessly. ✨

We are proud to celebrate our Medical Director, Dr Angel Lee, on receiving the Singapore Palliative Care Lifetime Achievement Award at the opening ceremony of the Singapore Palliative Care Conference 2026.

From her early days as a doctor volunteering in the 1990s to becoming a pioneer of palliative medicine in Singapore, Dr Lee has devoted her life to advancing compassionate, patient-centred care. Her leadership has shaped hospital-based palliative care, strengthened multidisciplinary teams, and expanded services across inpatient, community, and home settings.

Her contributions extend beyond institutions - she has played a pivotal role in advancing national strategies, championing Advance Care Planning, and mentoring generations of healthcare professionals.

Above all, Dr Lee’s unwavering commitment to patients and their loved ones continues to inspire all of us.

Thank you, Dr Angel Lee, for all that you do for your patients, their families, and our community. 💙

Spending Lunar New Year a little differently, but no less meaningfully. ❤️

While many celebrate the season with reunion dinners and home visits, some of our patients marked the occasion within our hospital, surrounded by loved ones, staff and volunteers, with music and heartfelt conversations filling the space.

Thank you to everyone who gave your time and presence to make our wards feel warmer and brighter. The spirit of reunion lives on, not in a place, but in the people who come together.
