100km through the night for a meaningful purpose💙

From 14 to 15 March, our SACH team took on the 100km Relay for Life challenge by Singapore Cancer Society (SCS). Running in solidarity with survivors and fellow supporters of the cause was a heartwarming experience.

A heartfelt thank you to SCS for the amazing event and to all our staff who gave their time and energy to see this through!

Spending Lunar New Year a little differently, but no less meaningfully. ❤️

While many celebrate the season with reunion dinners and home visits, some of our patients marked the occasion within our hospital, surrounded by loved ones, staff and volunteers, with music and heartfelt conversations filling the space.

Thank you to everyone who gave your time and presence to make our wards feel warmer and brighter. The spirit of reunion lives on, not in a place, but in the people who come together.

Welcoming the festive season with the spirit of volunteering 🧧✨

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting volunteers from People's Association, who brought warmth to our hospital with a calligraphy activity for our seniors. As they brushed up on their strokes, our seniors not only practised their motor skills but also soaked in the Lunar New Year atmosphere.🏮

Thank you to our volunteers for making the season brighter! 💙

Our take on this trend, but with a meaningful difference! 👣🏃🏃‍♀️

Last weekend, our SACH crew came together to support Singapore Hospice Council 30th Anniversary Sundown Walk. Walking through the night, they journeyed across the island to visit fellow member organisations, united by a shared commitment to palliative care.

Thank you to all our staff who spent their weekend evenings in support of palliative care across Singapore. 💙

St. Andrew's Migrant Worker Medical Centre (SAMWMC), a unit of SACH, provides Primary Care –under an MOM programme– to more than 100,000 migrant workers in the Construction, Shipyard and Process Manufacturing sectors, and those living in dormitories, within the Penjuru, Jurong, Bukit Batok, West Coast and Telok Blangah areas. In addition to primary care, we also provide donor-subsidised dental, physiotherapy and counselling care.

This morning, SAWMWC was blessed to be able to witness the opening of NESST Tukang Dormitory, which falls within SAMWMC's catchment, and for which we are starting to provide primary care.

Built by MOM, according to the latest dormitory standards, and opened by Minister for Manpower, Dr Tan See Leng, the dormitory has individualised spaces for dormitory beds, lots of recreation and food options, is optimised with technology and factors in plans for pandemic response. All this to uplift living standards without raising costs, for the good of the residents.

May we all continue to love our neighbours as ourselves!
