Not all itchy or irritated eyes mean dry eyes.
In this case, Dr. Phi shares how a patient with persistent itching and “dryness” wasn’t actually lacking tears at all, the real issue was an allergy.

Materials like nylon from pillowcases or soft toys, as well as common triggers like dust mites, can cause eye irritation that regular lubricating drops can’t fix.

If symptoms don’t improve with usual eye drops, it may be an allergic reaction that needs proper evaluation and medicated treatment. Always consult your eye care specialist to find out what’s really causing the discomfort.

Dr. Phi shares a story about a patient who thought there were tiny “organisms” living in their eyes. Turns out, they were just floaters, a common change in the eye’s gel.

A reminder that floaters are usually harmless, but a sudden increase means it’s time for an eye check.

Choosing a breakfast spread seems small, but the sugar in it can affect your eyes more than you think. Dr. Phi explains how high sugar intake can increase the risk of cataracts and retinal problems.

When comparing spreads, almond spread has around 0.7g sugar per 20g, while kaya can reach almost 10g for the same amount, almost ten times more.

If you love using spreads in the morning, go for options that support long-term eye health.

Wearing a cap can help protect your eyes from UV light, as long as it actually covers them.

Dr. Phi reminds everyone to choose one that’s wide enough to block the sun, not just stylish. A good cap should shade your eyes well and give real protection, not just a cute look.

Not all “healthy drinks” are created equal and some might even harm your eyes.

Dr. Phi breaks down why it’s important to look beyond the label and check the sugar content before calling something “good for you.” Too much sugar can lead to retinal diseases, diabetic eye complications, and even cataracts.

Make smart choices not just for your body, but for your vision too.

Not all “healthy” labels mean healthier choices.
As Dr. Phi explains, some products labeled organic or no added sugar can still contain higher sugar content per serving. Always take a moment to read the ingredients list and nutrition facts, it’s the best way to make informed decisions for your overall and eye health.
