It’s a real struggle trying to keep the balance between your personal life and your work. When you are as passionate about what you do as I am, it is hard trying to draw the line between devoting your time to your clients and spending time with your family and children. ✅

So, while others spend their days relaxing and recharging, we parents try to make up for lost time and entertain our children, making sure we create precious memories with them. I admit it; my mind is most of the time at work, trying to think of ways to improve my clients' life and well-being. Luckily, my children keep me very busy, so I can spend a few hours without thinking about work! What about you? What does your “relax and recharge” look like? 🫶🤔

🏊‍♂️ Swimming is one of the best exercises you can get. However, it can also lead to injuries. Whether you are an avid swimmer or love to dive in the pool occasionally, these are the injuries to look out for:

✨Swimmer's Shoulder: Repetitive stroke motion, strains shoulder muscles and can lead to tissue damage. To avoid this, perfect your stroke technique to minimise unnecessary strain.

✨Swimmer's Knee: Leg and hip strain common in breaststroke swimmers. Vary your swimming routine, improve leg movement angles, and engage in strengthening activities to avoid this condition.

✨Neck Injuries: Neck strain from head position or rotation during swimming. Keep your neck aligned with your body while swimming, and rotate your entire body during breaths to protect your neck.

✨Lower Back Pain: Hyperextended back position in swimming can cause lower back pain. Strengthen your core muscles and take frequent breaks to mitigate the risk of lower back pain.

I bet you've heard time and time again that you need to fix your posture. 😲 Well, I am here to tell you that there is no good or bad posture; sometimes, we relax in a pose that relieves tension from our joints and spine, even if it means arching our backs and bending forward. 👍

However, if we maintain the posture for long periods, we end up hurting our bodies. The best thing to do is change postures frequently, trying to sit up straight but not getting so obsessed that it does not allow you to relax. 🤔
