JIN TCM Clinic, run by husband-and-wife physicians, Physician Tan Jun You and Physician Wong Ying Xin, has earned a strong reputation locally and attracted patients from countries including Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Romania, the U.S. and Europe.
Physician Tan, with a Master’s degree in TCM Orthopedics, focuses on pain and injury management, treating acute conditions such as back sprain, ankle sprain, stiff neck, dislocation, fracture, etc. Treatments include manual therapy, bone-setting, cupping, acupuncture and herbal medication to provide rapid relief and promote recovery.
Physician Wong, trained in both biomedical science and TCM at NTU, expanded the clinic’s scope to include fertility, gynecology and pediatrics, offering comprehensive care to meet the diverse health needs of the local community. The clinic also addresses chronic conditions like post stroke rehab, hypertension and diabetes, combining TCM to improve underlying health and achieve better long-term outcomes.
The clinic’s reputation relies heavily on word-of-mouth. Patients value the physicians’ detailed explanations of treatment principles, such as acupuncture acupoint selection and herbal mechanisms, alongside tangible results.
JIN TCM Clinic integrates traditional diagnostic methods—observation, listening, inquiry and pulse-taking and reports from modern diagnostic methods such as blood tests, X-rays, ultrasounds and DNA testing. This combination allows more precise diagnoses, especially for bone and soft-tissue injuries, and enables personalized treatment plans. Physician Tan also emphasizes “localized TCM,” adapting treatments to Singapore’s climate, lifestyle and common health conditions.
The clinic aims to make TCM professional, affordable and accessible. Also, the clinic offers courses, incorporating treatment and preventive care for the community.
