In a quiet garden in northern Japan stands a phone that doesn’t work. No signal. No line. Just a black rotary phone inside a white booth.

Yet thousands come here — to speak to people who can’t answer.

It began when a man named Itaru Sasaki lost his cousin. Unable to cope, he placed an old phone in his yard so he could talk to him again — through the wind.

Then, after the 2011 tsunami took over fifteen thousand lives, people who’d lost everything started coming too. Mothers called missing children. Husbands spoke to wives. Friends said the words they never got to say.

And somehow… it helped.

Because grief doesn’t need logic. It needs space.

That disconnected phone became a bridge — not to the afterlife, but to the living who stayed behind.

It reminds us: silence doesn’t mean absence. And sometimes, the most healing conversations are the ones the other person will never hear.

Last weekend, our team had the privilege to join a site tour training led by our BDD Wilson Lee. Through his detailed sharing and guidance, everyone gained deeper insights into Nirvana’s products, services, and the importance of presenting with sincerity and professionalism. 🌿💼

🌿 A Final Resting Place in the Garden of Serenity 🌿

With land scarcity in Singapore becoming more prominent, the government has been encouraging eco-friendly alternatives such as ash scattering, as seen with the new Mandai Crematorium’s Garden of Serenity.

🕊️ While ash scattering is a gentle return to nature, it also means there may be no physical place for future generations to visit, reflect, or honour their loved ones.
