As I cleared my cabinet of some old makeup I haven't been using, I had a thought...

"What else should I be throwing, that's no longer serving me well?"

Not just physical items, but habits, thought patterns and behaviours too.

We shouldn't be carrying everything with us into the new year, just because they're familiar, or have become autopilot.

On 16 August, our first mini retreat-style event took place at Tea Time ่Œถไพ - combining relaxing ambience, wellness strategies and delicious food.

We practised tuning in to our body through mindful movement, activating our awareness and sense of balance.

We enhanced our appreciation of the ambience, using our 5 senses to soak in the relaxing vibes and warm comforting sips of Chinese tea.

We helped each other gain insights on how our daily habits affect our mood and energy.

As one participant said, "I'm not used to slowing down like this." Others agreed, life tends to be a constant hustle of responsibilities and numbing, automatic habits.

Yet, by the end of the session, they all felt the intentional slowing down gave them a much needed reset.

The common takeaway was to be more intentional, more mindful in their daily lives, and make better choices that balance their wellbeing.
