3 WAYS TO BREAK YOUR OVEREATING CYCLE 🤯

1. Perceive food differently!
Focus on fueling your body instead of just filling your tummy. NOT all food provide us with right nutrition. Take simple steps to learn in choosing the right food. (That doesn't mean eating salad all day, BTW!) There are healthy YET DELICIOUS meals that can help cleanse, repair and regenerate the cells in our body instead of just filling it based on your cravings!

2. Less carbs, longer life
Fill 1/4 of your plate with healthy carbs and the remaining 3/4 with an equal amount of vegetables and protein source. This healthy portions are what your body needs for a balanced meal. For example, today's lunch could be 1/4 plate Brown Rice and 3/4 plate of Baked Honey Chicken & garden salad! Healthy, but definitely yummy!

3. Stay Hydrated
Did you know that we often mistake thirst for hunger? Drink lots of water instead of grabbing a bag of chips!
When the stomach senses that it is full, it sends signals to the brain to stop eating. Water can not only hydrate our body but it can also take up space in the stomach, leading to fullness, reducing hunger and cravings!

These are just 3 simple ways that you may add to your daily routine now. The challenge is to make a PERMANENT CHANGE in your life and progress through a your health journey without giving up!

Let's talk about how posture can affect your overall health and wellbeing. the average human head is in the region of 4-5kg and is completely supported by the spine and muscles in your neck. The neck is also responsible for housing and protecting your spinal column and is the main trunk of communication between your brain and major organs.

With increasing phone and laptop use, I've found that more and more people are suffering from "text-neck" and "laptop-shoulders"... meaning a neck that is canted forwards and shoulders that are rounded forwards as well - so much so that most people think that this is the normal posture that we should adopt.

Here's the bad news - it isn't. The tilt of the head causes an abnormal amount of stress on the cervical vertebra and over time this can put a lot of pressure on the spinal cord and the nerves in the neck. This could lead to a disruption in the signals sent by your nerves and long term physical issues like slipped disks and chronic pain...

If you recognize yourself in what I am describing - then reach out to me for advice or some ideas to correct your bad posture and maybe even help with managing your pain and discomfort!

How to structure your meals!

Everyone tends to get this wrong especially when they are trying to lose fat... We're not going to exclude carbs, your body needs a good source of carbohydrates... We're just going to focus on getting some good complex carbs! Pick whole grains or some squash or sweet potato.

Make sure u get a good blend of color and leafy veggies on half your plate! Color generally is a great indicator of nutritional content. 😊

Finally get 1-2 sources of protein! And don't forget to include some good fat in u our diet too!
