Established since 1980, Lions Home For The Elders is one of Singapore’s leading eldercare service providers in the community. Our two nursing homes are located at Bishan and Bedok South, with the capacity to house 384 residents. Community Guidelines:

The incredible performances by Tallin, The Singing Mama brought waves of nostalgia and heartfelt emotion to everyone who tuned in on 15 November!

Joined by the charismatic 'Dean Martin of Singapore', Ernesto Valerio, acclaimed keyboardist Mae Ng, and our very own Lion Tan Cheow Hung, the evening was a beautiful finale to our live-streamed concert series.

Once more, we would like to give our greatest appreciation to Tallin, Lion Tan Cheow Hung, Ernesto Valerio, and Mae Ng, along with all the performers who have joined us throughout our 45th Anniversary Campaign. We are most grateful to have collaborated with such a talented and gracious lineup of acts, who brought so much cheer, and lent their talents to support our campaign! 🙏

𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 😁💙

We are delighted to share that Lions Home For The Elders has partnered with Central Smile Dental Clinic to provide weekly dental screenings and care for our residents starting from October 2025, every Tuesday! Residents are able to use their Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS), Pioneer Generation (PG), and Merdeka Generation (MG) cards to cover standard treatments such as consultation, cleaning, polishing, and fluoride application. For any procedures beyond these, our team will first seek consent from our residents’ next-of-kin and arrange for co-payment before proceeding.

These on-site services are specially designed to support all residents — including those who are bed-bound or have limited mobility. Dentists will provide care directly in our wards, either in the isolation room or right at bedside, ensuring comfort and convenience.

Even for residents without natural teeth, regular oral assessments are important. The dental team checks gum health, denture condition, and hygiene — all crucial in preventing oral infections and aspiration pneumonia, especially for bed-bound residents. For our residents, better oral health means better comfort, dignity, and overall well-being.

This partnership is another meaningful step in our continued commitment to holistic care, and in always ensuring the comfort and wellbeing for all our residents.

A true lineup of talented performers - Cheryl Chitty Tan, Ernesto Valerio, and Greg Anderson delighted the audience with their amazing vocals, while our very own Lion Tan Cheow Hung, also Co-Organising Chairperson of our 45th Anniversary Charity Gala Dinner brought much cheer to all as a guest vocalist. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 – 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴!

On 26 October 2025, we celebrated our annual Recognition Lunch, themed ‘Times Of Our Lives’ in honour of our origins in the 1980s and the varied life experiences of our residents.

The Recognition Lunch acknowledges the hard work of our staff and the invaluable contributions of our supporters. Through the event, we presented awards to both our long-serving staff for their service, and our numerous supporters who have helped Lions Home for the Elders reach its current success.

We were also most honoured to have Mr. Dinesh Vasu Dash, Minister of State for the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Manpower, and Mayor of the South East District, as our Guest of Honour. He shared kind words about Lions Home and our mission, and in appreciation of his support, he was presented with a Token of Appreciation by one of our residents, and our Chairman, PDG Steven Seah (BBM). 💓

The event also featured many fun moments. True to the theme, many guests dressed in eye-catching retro outfits, making it a challenge to select the best-dressed individuals! The crowd erupted in cheers as finalists showcased their moves and outfits on stage, with excitement growing even louder as the winners were announced. 💃🏻🕺🏽

In making this special event happen, we would like to give our deepest thanks to all our staff, partners, and supporters, including our Recognition Lunch Organising Committee, headed by Organising Chairpersons Lion Russell Kwan and Lion Yeo Geok Hong. Together, we made the event a proper tribute to Lions Home, and truly had the 𝘛𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘖𝘧 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴🎞️.

𝗔 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 – 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗣𝗖𝗖 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛.𝗞. 𝗟𝗮𝘂

He was a man who dedicated much of his life to improving the lives of the elderly at Lions Home For The Elders, and believed one should give their all to help those in need. He was our second Chairman, PCC Lion H.K. Lau, and to him, Lions Home was like a second home.

It was at Lions Home where he spent much of his free time tending to the garden, and helping the residents stay engaged, until his final day.

The legacy of PCC Lion H.K. Lau continues to endure, with the same spirit of service and dedication kept alive by our staff and volunteers today. Watch the video, and hear from his daughters Magdalene and Wendy the lessons he passed down to them, and the importance of virtues he taught to others.

In 1980, a simple visit to Sago Lane spurred our Founding Chairman, Lion Henry Kwek (BBM), to lay the foundations for Lions Home For The Elders. Hear, in his own words, the challenges he faced, the dedication he gave, and his hopes for the future of Lions Home.
