- Dr Teoh attained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from
the National University of Singapore in 1985 under a Singapore
Government Public Service Commission Merit Scholarship.
- He then went on to train in general surgery and was awarded a
Singapore Government Fellowship to pursue a Masters of Medicine in
Surgery. He then became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of
Edinburgh, UK and a fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore
after advanced training.
- Dr Teoh was subsequently awarded a Singapore Government Health
Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship to pursue
subspecialty training in colorectal surgery at the world-renowned
Cleveland Clinic in Florida, USA.
- Dr Teoh was a founding member of the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic
Surgeons of Asia and of the Society of Colorectal Surgeons in
Singapore, as well as a member of the American Society of Colon and
Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS). At ASCRS, he has also served as a council
member of the technologies committee.
