Traveling and numerous trade shows have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, but it has not stopped our Medical Manikin Swab Collection Training Simulator from flying to Taiwan to participate in the 2020台灣3D列印暨積層製造設備展 Taiwan 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Show.

Many thanks to 黃至明 and 普立得科技 3D Printing for letting us showcase our application prominently for the first time in public.

📍 If you are in Taipei, Taiwan, drop by Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2 and visit Booth Q813 to take a look as well as view other products on show.

🚩 Exhibition will run from 19 - 22 August between 9:30am - 5pm

While COVID-19 will be remembered for many things - undoubtedly negative for most, but 3D printing for one has certainly risen to the fore amidst these challenging times.

We have come out with 3D Printed Medical Manikins that addresses the shortcomings of existing manikins in the market for the training of respiratory swab collection. Our manikins facilitate the ex*****on of these essential procedures:

1) Nasal mid-turbinate swab
2) Nasopharyngeal swab
3) Oropharyngeal swab

Feedback from users was promising with many impressed by the bounceable tongue for simulation with a tongue depressor, and the crucial anatomies (e.g. turbinates, pharynx, and uvula) as indicators for performing the swab collection.

Most importantly, the manikins were in real-life size, perfect for standard medical-grade swab sticks to be used.
