✨ A big milestone for us! ✨

The Senior Care Centre (SCC) at Ling Kwang Home is now open!!
Transiting from our IHDC service, our newly renovated and expanded centre is on track to provide Dementia Day Care, Maintenance Day Care, and Centre‑Based Nursing services to more than 70 seniors, every Monday to Friday.

Our new centre features vibrant activity spaces including a sensory room, tech-assisted activity devices, games corner, reading and relaxation nook plus personal lockers for everyone. Aside from hardware, our dedicated SCC team delivers compassionate care and rolls out structured programmes like group exercises and outings, memory and cognitive games, mahjong sessions and reminiscence therapy.

We are committed to continue helping seniors stay well and flourish and welcome more seniors to join ❤️ So, help us spread the word about our new SCC!!

LKH Staff Appreciation Celebrations

It’s the time of the year for our annual Ling Kwang Home Staff Appreciation Celebrations.

Because caring hearts deserve care too❤️, our staff were treated to a well‑deserved hotel buffet experience🍤🍣. In pleasant surroundings with relaxed ambience, we shared laughs, and caught up with our incredible colleagues. It was a beautiful reminder that we're more than just a team; we're a family pouring our hearts into serving our beloved elders.

Time to reset, recharge, and celebrate all our amazing carers! ✨

Our Ling Kwang Home family wrapped up this year's Chinese New Year season with our annual Lou Hei and a delightful festive lunch.🐎

The air was filled with joyous laughter and auspicious blessings as everyone enthusiastically tossed to prosperity during our Lou Hei celebration – truly a moment of unity and good wishes!

This wonderful occasion also brought our dedicated colleagues together with renewed spirit and camaraderie.

As we mark the final celebration of this year's Chinese New Year season, we're sending out our warmest wishes for a truly prosperous, healthy, and happy year ahead for everyone in our Ling Kwang Home family and beyond!

"Ringing in the Year of the Horse with a blast!🐴 ✨ "

Our residents kicked off CNY with an unforgettable treat this year! A group of them were invited to a festive lunch hosted by the Association of Seamen at a 5‑star hotel, where they enjoyed a sumptuous spread, Lion Dance, and vibrant traditional performances. To sweeten the celebration, each resident also received a lucky red packet! 🍊🧧

Back at the Home, the festivities were just as lively. Enthusiastic volunteers performed the lion dance and dressed up as Cai Shen Ye, filling our residents’ day with joy and meaning. Generous donors also blessed us with overflowing mandarin oranges and CNY goodies, keeping our pantries and hearts full. 🤩

For the second year running, our incredible staff transformed the Home with our very own LKH CNY Bazaar, bringing the festive street atmosphere right to our residents. Snacks, decorations, games, and beautifully crafted props made the bazaar a hit! 🎉Its success truly reflects the teamwork and heart of every department working together for our residents’ well‑being. ❤️

All in all, it was a wonderful celebration of the Lunar New Year!

Bringing the community together, one step at a time

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Walk for Good: A Journey Home @ Serangoon Garden 🌳👣 and visited Ling Kwang Home!

This special event was all about celebrating community spirit, care, and connection. Residents from Serangoon Garden along with partners and volunteers came together to visit the community care organisations in the neighbourhood and bond with neighbours along the way!

We're grateful to Guest of Honour, Mr Seah Kian Peng, Speaker of Parliament, for kicking off the walk and sharing his thoughts on the importance of community care. 🙏

A massive shoutout to the organisers, and our amazing volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event possible. And to all participants, thank you for walking with us and showing your community spirit! Your presence made a difference and reminded us that we're stronger together. 💕

Community Care Day 2025 at Ling Kwang Home was a Gastronomic Extravaganza!

Our multi-talented care staff brought the heat with a culinary journey around the region! 🌍 Whipping up cuisines from their home countries, flavours, joy and love flowed freely at the party.🕺💕
This special day is all about showing appreciation for our care community who hail from the Philippines, Myanmar, India and Sri Lanka to make a difference in the lives of our residents.

It was a beautiful occasion where we celebrated diversity, dedication and solidarity🙌. Like the dishes that were shared, the celebration reminded us that care for our seniors - like good food - is best when it’s served with love ❤️.

A big thank you to our dedicated team and all who joined in to make it a day to remember!

Warming hearts this Mid-Autumn Festival at Ling Kwang Home! 🎉🎏

Residents gathered to make mooncakes and lanterns, sharing laughter and joy together.

The festive atmosphere was filled with warmth and love, made even brighter by the generous donations from SeaCare Co-op! Food supplies and mooncakes brought smiles to our residents' faces.🎁

A huge thank you to Seacare Co-op for spreading the festive cheer 🎉and making this celebration even more special.

Ling Kwang Home was thrilled to participate in the Community Funfair 2025 organized by Zion Serangoon B-P Church.

The event gave us a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness about our Home and the services we provide. One of our residents, Mr Ong was invited to share about the positive impact that Ling Kwang Home has made in his life. Visitors to our booth also had the chance find out how good their sense of balance is!🕺

We're grateful for the chance to connect with the community and highlight the importance of partnerships in supporting vulnerable seniors.

An unforgettable afternoon at the Red Pencil’s charity golf event!

Residents from Ling Kwang Home were recently invited to Red Pencil’s charity golf event at Laguna National Golf Resort.

They were treated to lively entertainment, a scrumptious lunch and fantastic goodie bags! 🍿🍬

Huge thanks to Red Pencil for your wonderful hospitality and the generous golfers who gifted us with 3 wheelchairs to bless other needy residents!

Our residents came Home with big smiles, full hearts and even a few new wheels - thanks to the amazing generosity of the Red Pencil team and kind-hearted golfers!
