🍽️ Mealtime doesn’t have to feel like a battlefield!

Picky eating is one of the most common (and sometimes frustrating) challenges for children with autism. From food refusals to texture sensitivities, these behaviours often stem from deeper sensory 🔉 and communication needs 🗣️.

Here are simple but effective strategies rooted in ABA-VB — with expert insights from Dr. James Partington. 🧠✨ With the right approach, and a little patience, small wins can build toward lifelong healthy eating habits 💪🍎.

💛 Stay tuned for tips that can make a big difference at the dinner table.

“Little Heroes Meet Real-Life Heroes 🚒✨”

This September as part of our Social Class, our students got to connect their classroom lessons to real-life experiences at SCDF Paya Lebar Fire Station.

From learning teamwork and responsibility to exploring fire safety and emergency preparedness firsthand, it was a day full of excitement, curiosity and inspiration.

A big thank you to SCDF Paya Lebar Fire Station for welcoming us and showing our little ones what it truly means to be a community hero!

Stimming might look like hand-flapping, humming, or repeating actions over and over — but it’s not meaningless. 🧠

Explore how stimming actually helps children with autism manage emotions, regulate their bodies, and make sense of the world around them. Instead of stopping the behaviour, we show you how to understand it — and when needed, guide it in safe and positive ways.

💬 With support from ARN’s expert team, your child can learn to communicate their needs and regulate with confidence.

🎥 Stay tuned for Understanding Stimming and How to Respond — coming soon!

“Life felt so stressful. I could see the difference between my son and my other kids, and I didn’t know what to do. I cried for days, not knowing where to start.

Then we found ARN — and everything began to make sense. Within a month, he started adapting to his teacher. He began saying ‘bye,’ and showed us what he wanted instead of crying.

Each small step reminded me that progress is possible. What gives me strength is how every time I pick him up, they remind me, ‘Don’t worry, he’s doing well.’ That hope keeps us going.”
