Did you know your toilet posture affects how easily you p**p? 🧻

Squatting can straighten your re**um and ease bowel movements, but squatting puts pressure below and often worsens piles problems. Sitting however can be more difficult and cause you to strain unnecessarily.

✅ The best balance: Sit with your feet elevated on a small stool. This straightens your re**um, making bowel movements easier with less pressure below.

Stuck in the yo-yo dieting cycle? 🎢

Yo-yo dieting (or weight cycling) is when weight goes down, often too rapidly, and comes back up again… with the cycle repeating all over again.

Rapid weight loss diets lead to quick results, but your body responds by increasing appetite and holding on to fat. Over time, this can mean more fat, less muscle, and greater health risks. Definitely not the long-term success you're looking for! 😩

Here are important sustainable lifestyle changes that your body can actually maintain:

○ Eat regular meals instead of skipping them. This helps regulate appetite and prevents rebound overeating.
○ Include a source of protein and fibre to all meals to support muscle mass and keep you fuller longer.
○ Strength training 2–3 times a week helps prevent muscle loss that often comes with repeated dieting and ageing.

Experiencing ongoing weight loss and gut health concerns? Speak with the team at Mark Wong Surgery for a proper assessment and tailored treatment.
