Offcuts to ornaments last week at JCSC🌟🎄🪵

Here’s a process BTS on how we ran our low-waste ornament making workshop last week! So grateful for a willing and open community that we get to learn from and connect with to create experiences like this for our seniors!

We had the fluffiest therapy dog .the.poo come by for Social Club🥺🏡

Our seniors had a cuddly time getting to know Noodle the poodle and we were able to see the benefits of diverse forms of therapy in action!

Thank you to volunteers for introducing us to our new goodest friend and for the lovely pictures❤️‍🔥

Very honoured to have artist Navin Rawanchaikul run a portrait drawing workshop with our seniors, staff, and volunteers at the club!

Navin is a Thai contemporary artist known for his large-scale, community-driven artworks that blend painting, installation and performance. During his session with our seniors, he shared past projects that explore themes of identity, drawing from his Indian-Punjabi heritage and experience growing up in Thailand. He is currently involved in a research project that uncovers the stories of lesser-known communities in Singapore.

We loved the way Navin engaged with our folks, teasing out their life stories in such a respectful, empathetic and sincere way.

Special thanks to the team at including Alicia, Sze Ying and Anissa for co-organising this workshop. We look forward to your next visit!

Field trip to !!

Unexpected learnings from the trip. We have 2 former golfers staying with us, one of whom was a local champion! Also, who knew Macs is really for all ages? Everyone had their favourite order there.

One sport they forgot to mention was everyone's favourite...shopping😁
