Dear EB Community,

I can't believe it's been 18 months since my stroke. But following that life transforming incident, I find myself becoming more reflective about the true meaning of life.

So today, let me share what being a year older means to me.

Reflection

*WE WILL AGE - BUT WE HAVE THE POWER TO CHOOSE HOW TO*

Today on the 8th day of CNY, where according to Chinese tradition and customs, we are all one day and one year older.

So what does growing older mean? The world can be totally obsessed with anti-ageing but what if we lose our inhibitions and simply flow gracefully along with growing old? We cannot stop time unless we cease to exist.

Slowing down the ageing process does not mean we do not age. It simply means we age slower, and we age with grace.

Ageing is not something to fear. It is something to understand.

Every day, our cells are exposed to wear and tear — from stress, inflammation, and the natural demands of living. At the same time, our bodies are constantly repairing, renewing, and regenerating. Ageing happens when damage begins to outpace repair. But when repair is protected and supported, vitality can remain for much longer.

This is why cellular protection matters.

Antioxidants defend the cell against oxidative damage. Omega-3 strengthens the integrity of the cell membrane and reduces inflammation. Vitamin D3 supports repair, immunity, and strength. Vitamin K2 ensures that the body maintains proper structure, protecting both bone and blood vessels.

Good morning! I woke up on this rainy morning and was compelled to write this…. Speaking to myself and I hope it speaks to some of you too.

*I Can Live With That*

Life is rarely perfect.
Our bodies may ache, our joints may creak,
and some mornings, discomfort wakes before we do.

This morning, I felt the familiar ache in my upper right arm —
the one that’s lingered since my stroke last year.
It’s been months, and gets worse in the night if I lay on my right side.

It’s just a quiet reminder of the storm I walked through,
and the grace that carried me out.

I’ve learned something along the way:
not every pain needs to steal our joy.
Not every scar needs to be erased before we can live fully.
Some things we heal,
some things we adapt to,
and some things we simply learn to live with.

If my heart is strong, I can live with slower steps.
If my mind is clear, I can live with a few aches.
If my soul is at peace, I can live with imperfection.

So I will rise each day with gratitude.
I will notice the beautiful things in my life.
I will laugh loudly, love deeply,
and breathe in the gift of being here — still here.

Because life is too precious to wait for perfection.
Too short to measure only by comfort.
Too sacred to waste on what’s missing.

Some things I will fight to change.
Some I will lay gently down.
And for the rest,
with a full heart and a quiet smile,
I will say—
I can live with that.

Why are we seeing a surge in cancer cases? Even in children as young as 10 can get it?
