This week we were proud to host Gobi Nair, Director General of the Southeast Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organisation (Southeast Asia RADO), at Sport Integrity Australia.

Gobi is leading important work across Southeast Asia, supporting anti-doping education, compliance, and testing programs, while also promoting values-based education and safeguarding in sport.

During his visit, he shared an overview of SEARADO’s role, achievements, and future direction, including a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and athlete-centred approaches.

Opportunities like this strengthen our shared commitment to protecting the integrity of sport, both in Australia and across the region 🌏

In line with SEARADO’s ongoing efforts to strengthen NADO-NADO collaboration and support, Mr Sisamout Saenbouttaraj, Member Country Representative of Lao NADO, and Ms Boumankham Southammavong, Chief of Office of Lao NADO, recently visited the Doping Control Agency of Thailand (DCAT).

The visit focused on exploring possibilities for further support and collaboration between Lao NADO and DCAT. Key areas of discussion included Results Management (RM), Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs), Education, and Intelligence & Investigations (I&I).

A significant outcome of the meeting was the agreement by both parties to renew their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

SEARADO would like to extend our sincere thanks to DCAT for hosting and supporting Lao NADO, and to acknowledge Lao NADO’s enthusiasm and commitment to enhancing the fight against doping in the region. 🇹🇭 🤝 🇱🇦

Another great NADO-NADO collaboration! SEARADO would like to sincerely thank Mr Gatot and team from IADO (Indonesia Anti Doping Agency) for hosting Ms Kerry Galhos, from Timor Leste National Authority for Integrity in Sport (TL-NAIS), as part of capacity building and support in the area of Results Management (RM) and Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). Other possible areas of collaboration and support were also explored including a formal tie-up 👏👏👏

DCOs play a very crucial role in testing and thus aptly, a webinar on Changes to the International Standard for Testing (IST) - What DCOs need to know. We were delighted to host 185 registered participants from all across Asia.

Understanding these changes is vital for both DCOs, who must ensure they know what is expected from 2027 and for NADO testing teams, to integrate these changes into their processes and provide support for their DCOs.

A tremendous thank you to Ms. Chika for her expertise in outlining the changes in a clear manner and to all attendees for their engaged participation. Together, we advance clean sport.
