Feeling nauseous during pregnancy? Morning sickness can be tough, but the right nutrients can help soothe the symptom and support your baby’s development. Here are 6 of them that can make a difference!

Vitamin B6: Help reduce nausea and vomiting. Also supports fetal development. E.g. cereal, eggs, soybeans, and bananas

Protein: Prevent nutritional deficiencies and ensures the baby receives enough nutrients for healthy growth.
E.g. high-quality protein such as beans, fish, eggs and meat

Zinc: Zinc deficiency during pregnancy can lead to loss of appetite, affects the sense of taste/smell, worsen nausea/vomiting and increase fatigue.
E.g. oysters, dried small fish, pumpkin seeds, and nuts

Ginger: Compounds in ginger such as gingerol and shogaol have notable anti-nausea effects. The rhizome of ginger can be used as both a spice and a medicinal herb. It effectively relieves pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting. Daily intake of less than 1000 mg poses no negative effects on pregnancy.

Tomatoes: Contain the antioxidant lycopene, which can help neutralize stomach acid after vomiting.

Stay Hydrated: Staying hydrated during pregnancy is crucial, especially during periods of morning sickness. Excessive vomiting can lead to dehydration, which can in turn worsen nausea.

If you are facing any issues related to pregnancy, TCM is here to help! Do SMS/WhatsApp us at 9056 9517 to book an appointment today.

Did you know that World Arthritis Day was just observed last Sunday on October 12, 2025? This is a timely reminder to pay attention to our joint health!

Look out for these 5 signs & symptoms of osteoarthritis! Osteoarthritis, the most common form of arthritis, is a degenerative joint disease where joint cartilage wears away.

Knee Pain/Swelling - Deep joint pain, worsens with activity or at night.

Joint Stiffness - Especially in the morning after waking up, usually eases after some movement.

"Clicking"/"Popping" Sound - Noises during joint movement caused by friction between joint surfaces, cartilage, or ligaments.

Joint Deformity - Such as bowlegs (O-shaped legs) or difficulty fully straightening the joint.

Thigh Muscle Atrophy - Avoiding using the joint due to pain can lead to muscle loss over time.

Using acupuncture and herbal medicine, TCM offers an effective, natural approach to managing osteoarthritis and relieving joint discomfort. Do SMS/WhatsApp us at 9056 9517 to book an appointment today!
