The Pilates Works

The Pilates Works Pilates is not a new age phenomenon. Its been around for 90 years. The “no burn, no earn” philosophy has no place in Pilates.

Developed as a way to help everyone maintain their flexibility and muscle tone while not aggravating an injury, the technique includes resistance training and stretching to promote flexibility, toning and mental and physical harmony. Whether practiced on the mat or on one of the many Pilates equipment, the workout is designed to stabilise your torso and develop the lower and deeper abdominal as well as the mid-back muscles thus, giving you a strong proportionate and balanced body. The Pilates Works is the realisation of the vision and fervour of its founding director, Alvin Giam. A first in Asia and founded in 1999, The Pilates Works has garnered numerous accolades since its inception. Aside from the glowing testimonials from its students, numerous articles in print and broadcast media have attested to the therapeutic benefits of its holistic approach to health and fitness.
